Re: In love with the lee
I think the Lee is only effective with good ping. Seems like every time i used the militant unscoped one i get two impressions. one side of me loves it because i can dispatch people easily even if they are wearing armour vests. and another side of me wishes i could hit enemys that are moving more effectivly. and i dont know if im right but half the time (or more) it feels like the server isnt communicating properly and my projectiles are WAY off. that being said, its very good on low ping.

Perhaps all our minds could be put to rest if someone could post the weapon/projectile values of the No.4 and say an M16 and G3 to compare??

guys, personally... I think enfield sucks, its more realistic to add a mosin nagant, now that is a real rifle and it is found worldwide, the enfield is not a good weapon for insurgents coz hm insurgents using british weapons? wouldnt it b better to use a mosin?

How much research did you do before making that post? Is it measured in hours, minutes, or seconds? Compare that to the research that PR's military advisors do.jubasniper00 wrote:guys, personally... Re: In love with the lee
first things first, Im a gun entusiast and hmmm funny thing... the mosin is my favorite rifle so hmmm lets say I know something about it.waldo_ii wrote:How much research did you do before making that post? u wanted research well then research should be had...
ok FIRSTH POINT. There are about 17 million enfields and about 37 millions of mosin nagant, so I guess the chances of finding a mosing over an enfield are pretty good.... if u dont think that is true google it...
SECOND POINT. The mosin is cheaper
Enfield; No4 Mk1* .303 Enfield by Savage US Property Marked - Auction: 9157687 (Ends 06/14/2009, 19:35:37 PST)
No.1 Mks III 2A-1 .308 10 shot magazine - Auction: 9148506 (Ends 06/03/2009, 12:01:56 PST)
Mosin; MODEL 91-30 7X6.2X54R CAL. - Auction: 9101327 (Ends 06/04/2009, 10:50:22 PST)
Russian Mosin-Nagant M91/30 7.62x54Rmm - Auction: 9143458 (Ends 06/04/2009, 07:05:22 PST)
(and that is nothing, Ive seen em for under 90 bucks in great condition)
THIRD POINT. Lets c put ureself in the shoes of whoever is suplying the insurgents, lets say an arms dealer who sells u weapons (obviously he sells ak47s sks and all that rusky **** (no offence to russians they rock) Im sure hes gonna have mosin and enfields, more mosins that enfields perhaps, why? remember? there are more mosins then enfields produced...so U have to deceide between a cheaper, more available, virtually same round (coz the enfield got turned into 7.6 nato in the 50s) compatible with all the svds psls tigers u have in ure arsenal, higher muzzle velocity (2700 ft/s)
vs
a rifle that has a higer price, less available(I dont mean its dificult to find), a round that aint made to be compatible with ure arsenal of russian rifles (svd, psl etc), with less muzzle velocity(about 2400 ft/s)
really all I see in the enfield is it has a 5 extra rounds capacity, but u loose that advantage at the time of reloading and lets face it the soldier that uses an enfield or mosin is gonna rely on that one shot one kill coz 10 rounds or not he cant keep up with an assault rifle so 10 would be about the same then 5 in a bolt action nowadays.
Now looking at the info it is a more logical choise to pick the mosin over the enfield coz it adjusts better for the insurgents
lets make this clear Im not saying the enfield is not available or that insurgents dont use it, Im just saying its much more probable they would use a mosin.
that would be all.

Re: In love with the lee
But as it stands.. the chances of getting (ingame) a high quality Lee Enfield are significantly higher than getting a high quality mosin.

Re: In love with the lee
There are a lot of weapons in the middle east, including many Enfields. Some of them may have come from western support against the soviet invasion, some may have crossed over from India into Pakistan during and after British rule of India, some may have been smuggled around by other means, along with Chinese replicas or next to FALs from Africa. There are a lot of Mosin Nagants too; the Ruskies were in Afghanistan for a period, undoubtedly bringing in a lot of Mosins. I'm not doubting that there are tons of Mosins there. I'm criticizing your point about there not being Enfields in the hands of insurgent or Taliban fighters.
Now lets go over your arguments point-by-point.
1. While I do not doubt your statistics are within a decent range, you haven't provided any sort of source for your information. A solid argument has credible sources. I again whip out my bionic-penis example: I can say that there are more bionic-penises in the world than regular penises, and I have just as much evidence as you.
2. Really? I don't think that western Internet-auction websites are a primary source for illegal arms in the middle east. Or, for that matter, reflect the illegal arms market in any way.
3. Again, I agree, Mosins are most likely more common than Enfields, along with the higher availability of 7.62x54mmR ammunition vs .303 British. However, that doesn't justify statements that rip on the developers for having an Enfield in the game and not a Mosin. A Mosin alongside the Enfield would be great, but saying that Enfields in the hands of arms dealers is unlikely is absurd.
Mostly what provoked me is not in what you said literally, but the meaning of the words. You never said that it was stupid to use the Enfield instead of the Mosin, but the whole post implies that. The combination of sarcasm ("not a good weapon for insurgents coz hm insurgents using british weapons" unless the "hm" was a mad typo), the speed typing, lack of any punctuation or consideration for grammar, and only insults for the decision to use the Enfield "enfield is not a good weapon for insurgents," it all sums up to a great big gaping insult towards the Dev team and the mod as a whole.
I shall now close the post with some fun with contradictions.
Ahhh, that's out of my system.
The PR team does not have a good Mosin. They have a fantastic Enfield, but not a Mosin. Because of the relatively heavy presence of Enfields in the hands of insurgents and Taliban (or other hands in the middle east), the Enfield fits right in with the other weapons in the game. Sure, you would also find Mosins, maybe even more than Enfields. That still doesn't overcome the fact that we don't have a Mosin model. If you or anyone you know can whip out a PR-grade Mosin, textured, UV-mapped, and otherwise ready to go, the Devs would be glad to have it.lee enfield is not a good weapon for insurgents coz hm insurgents using british weapons?
