Deployment-Status Project Reality

Post by LyRiCs »

Hey Guys...

im intrested about how far is the deployment status of PR generaly.
Do you think the most things which can be done are ready or do you think, its only the beginning?

like in percent or something? i think you cant answer this question clearly but why not to ask...

greetings from austria.

PS: i dont mean the actual updates or so, i mean PR in general.

A rough guess would be that PR is around 85% complete ish. ;)

i also think, it could never be 100% perfect, we will find some bugs or new features every time

85% sounds good, but theres many other armys like Australian Force and so on...
They will come to PR and then the 85% arent right i think

in exception of that i think 85% sounds realistic.

- fast answers... thank you

lol!

Even once PR is at 100%, there's always a chance that more factions, maps or assets will be added so it's pretty hard to measure it's completion.

What I'm afraid, is that devs will come to a certain point where they'll say "We did all we could come up with, but as of now, no further PR development will be active."
Same thing (similar, to be precise) happened with AIX2 mod, they stopped their work at their pinnacle.

Clearly the PR Devs are striving for perfection and its commonly known that is a particular state which can't be reached hence I am saying and hoping at the same time it never will be done going on for ever.
Oh sweet dream... :)

as things progress now, they will push out versions, change stuff, make hopes and then... nothing... there will never be a completely done "1.02 PR final" and the DEVs will never say: Yes now we are done with our Project..., theyll just disappear

The engine will reach its limits sooner or later, but it won't stop developmenting new maps, assets, skins, models, weapons, gamemodes etc etc. Those things will keep this game fresh

and the second chance is an indiegame... and a new engine which is also discussed in another thread...

They may also continue this mod on future battlefield releases, it would look sick with the frostbite engine in it!

Have a look at this thread:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f18-pr-suggestions/51326-ideas-pr-future-engine-ideas-suggestions.html?highlight=engine

Basically the devs are saying they're not going to spend the time/effort involved in modding another retail game when they can make their own independent game with far less limitations.

I wouldn't mind PR on Frostbite (which has no modding tools planned AFAIK) if it meant no compromises, but I doubt that would be the case.

I think it's bout 85% done... But who said PR would stay as a mod, after winning mod of the year?

PR will be 100% complete when DEV will abandon it... Until then it will be under constent development.
