I normally put a mine on a road and an IED on the other road, so vehicles run from the mine and go to the IED.

I usually put mines around bends or just when a dip in a road is forming, so the enemies won't see it.

As for IED's/C4, sometimes i'll get in a car with some friends and get a humvee's attention so it will follow us, and drop IED's from the sunroof as they come chasing after their "Easy kills."
I also like to place IED's/C4 inside mines, that way if they don't run over the mine, they usually will try driving past it or they will walk up to the mine itself :D

Do they still have the ARTY ied? I have NEVER SEEN it....

Yes, used it today on Basrah at the crossroad southwest from mosque.
