iirc TOW lynx is being replaced by Apaches
only armed Lynxs that will be in service will be carrying side MGs, I think GPMGs

The program you watch was that helicopter warfare documentart on channel 5 yes? The Lynx with TOW's is still utilised but only by the FAA (Fleet Air Arm), Squadron 847. Source.
I think it's been suggested before and due to the fact that Apache's have proved they are more capable than the Lynx, I don't think you'll see them utilised by British Armed Forces except for accompanying amphibious assaults, which you won't be seeing Brits doing in PR in the near future due to the lack of an amphibious assault craft or an aircraft carrier.
My work here is done.

this isnt entirly true the royal marines have one in development for them, errm in relation to they still use them the last time they used em was in iraq when we invaded that is how i found out about a tv program on a bout how it killed a tank, in terms of transport i dnt no about this however in terms of the game just speculating but instead of having 8 missiles have 4 on one side and the other side open for transportDr2B Rudd wrote:iirc TOW lynx is being replaced by Apaches

Brummy(our resident Lynx pilot) knows the most I imagine, but I'm pretty sure the TOW Lynx is being phased out and the Apaches are being used.

i'd rather have a supply crate for the lynx. i mean, the huey has one, and it's kinda small too.

There are different variations of the lynx. The Mk 7 is used by the FAA as I stated before, as both an attack and utility chopper. SOURCE. But no one bothered to respond to that post.hiberNative wrote:i'd rather have a supply crate for the lynx. i mean, the huey has one, and it's kinda small too.
So yeah the one without TOW's could have the crate. But that's O/T and not relevant.

The TOW armed lynx has been suggested several times before and as said before, the lynx has been replaced in the attack role by the Apache.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
