However, the kind of teamwork, atmosphere and awesomeness you get make it the most realistic MP game ever developed. Far more realistic than ArmA II, for example. There you get your nice bullet trajectories, but with the poor netcode, lacking unit cohesion and teamwork, it feels more like CS when played online.
I think ARMA II is more realistic than PR.

BTW it's not the game... it's the players that make it realistic.

If nobody cared in PR... everybody would be stealing Helis and going solo.. nobody would make firebases, nobody would get the objectives.. they would just DM. etc...

Hm, In my own words, I would say more of a Mod, as stated. Simulator, So and so.

When it comes to teamwork I think it's one of the best simulators out there but when it comes to the whole gameplay it's just another mod (a great mod though).
I don't think you can call any fps wargames a simulator. There's too much depending on the gameplay.

By the whole 'its just the players' argument I could say that Counter Strike is as much realistic since if you treat charging into direct bullets as an unacceptable risk then you would see CS matches go on just like a real battle in PR or Arma.

Its not the players, but the way the players judge the consequences. The sim basically assorts the different possibilities for gains or losses you can make in your decisions. What certain actions mean and how they are rewarded or punished. A 'realistic' game would then reward realism and punish unrealism. However the compromize is made to playability. To die and never respawn would be realistic. Do die and then be forced to re enter the battle as presumably a new soldier is... a conceit. The best compromise.
