Ammo field patch

Post by cocobutter333 »

Simple really, give medics ability to hand a field patch to another sodlier which they can use l8tr e.g just like press 8 for normal patch 0 could be for ammo field patch and it would minus it from the medics ....

ive been in situation where i been revived but medic need to deal with others or is a slight distance away and i need 1 patch to sustain me till he gets to me

AFAIK, the BF2 engine doesn't distinguish between different ammo types when rearming.

ie, you've used 1 nade and 1 field dressing, you go to rearm, rearm stations can only replenish both your nade and dressing, not one or the other. :(

Nedlands has certainly said otherwise, I'm sure.

One way you can get around this is to create a rally at a good location before an advance, deploy a rally point there and then have everyone in the squad drop they're ammo and field dressings so that if you are hurt and cant get to a medic you just fall back there to heal.

Same thing for ammo, if you're out fall back and re-arm from the ammo bags.
