mec and pla cas helicopters love to roll if you put em down slightly off center. it's a huge coalition problem imo.

I've always found flying with a keyboard+mouse is easy, more often then not you should always try to do an angle landing instead of straight down. Straight down isn't hard either but the angled landings are easier and less likely to damage the helicopter or the people in it. It's all about learning when to cut the acceleration and glide into position.

If you want contact me via PM and we'll go into a training server where I can show you what I do.

btw my mouse sensitivity is set to 1.50 instead of the standard 3.00. I find the lower setting allows for greater control and stability. Yes you need to move the mouse more to do shit, but with that it also takes more movement to fuck up and get out of control.

One thing that helped me alot is the unintuitive realization that it is much easier to land when you have some speed. Try flying in 100 km/h over flat ground and slowly tip S until you hit ground. You stop in 10 meters withouth a scratch. Coming in with speed helps you get the right angle of the helicopter whereas if you try to hover first and then land it is easier to hit the tail in the ground. I know it is not realistic for hueys to travel in 300kmh and then slide 10 meters on the ground and stop, but the game is designed for this. It also makes for fast insertions.

I use a joystick and to land slow and easy just keep the engine at just below 41% (which IIRC is the hover-percentage). On touchdown, slowly decrease it or just let go if you use the keyboard.
