so I guess you whould preffer to have Artillery rather then air support,Cheesygoodness wrote:Simply I don't trust either of them. I'd rather have two more guns shooting it up personally.
If I had to pick I'd rather have Jets supporting me then Helos. Less likely to waste the tickets I suppose. You basically gotta have another jet kill it.
What do you prefer? Ground pounder jets or heli's?

Helis I have still yet to see a Jet that is actually saving my ***, but I feel that helos have saved my *** more then once, seen it taken out both Challenger and warriors + infs, as I lazed only 20-60 meters away in a bush on quinling.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

Infantry + Helis, be it transport or CAS.
Jets are good, but helis are more flexible, more stable and more prompt.

i prefer helicopter, beacuse its easier to take out targets on close, mid or high range.
jets arent able to fly as slow as a helo and they cant hover and thats a great advantage for helicopters, imo.
With helis you can take out individual targets and identify them before shooting.
over all im sad about never getting in a helo

Choppas just because you have the best vantage point of the battlefield and basically control the enemy armor's fate with one click
I will take a good ground and pound squad any day though, especially on Muttrah, that place breaths infy, so many nooks and crannys to explore and ambush at

I personally prefer Attack Choppers to perform CAS.
When eyes on the ground (infantry) and the pilot crew have established solid communications, they wreck havoc.
Usually the main problem with the Attack Choppers are that the pilots are going Rambo and trying to destroy everything using Seek & Destroy-tactics which usually results to destroyed chopper.
Infantry calling out manpad AA locations + APC movement, giving firemissions and chopper performing them and returning to stand-by state is a very effective way to do things.
(This applies to the Jets too, but what the heck

Its also a good way to lose 12 tickets.rudy_eila wrote:Actually you are wrong.
You dont need to hover for your gunner to shoot, just fly low and straight to the target and if he is a good gunner he will kill the target.
With armour turrets being controlled by mouses as opposed to real apparatus, it is humorously easy to down a chopper with a 25mm and up.
I dont think people realise that Jets can engage a LZRd target at 2500m....altitude. Distance from target seems to be even further. As long as jets have a secure airfield and landing path, they can destroy anything, anywhere. They need not expose themselves.
It would seem allot of people that appear to have something against jets actually have something against the pilots. What will lose a Jet is laziness or greed. For choppers, the world is more complicated.
During a PRT battle, two jets a Quinling racked up 80+ kills each, the majority being hostile armour pieces.
Three men inflicted 160+ kills on the enemy. I was the FAC and must have died twice, meaning three men had a KD of approx 175-4. Ofcourse, a considerable amount of contact reports came from the rest of the team.
The Apache, with an equally experienced and skilled crew racked up 10 and must have been downed approx twice, with the same support from the team and FAC. In later battles, the Jets were favoured over choppers, as the Choppers were deemed cost-ineffective.

Helis. Jets are too demanding, but helis when you keep to a few cardinal rules are easy.

Tough choice but i picked Helocopters as i Enjoy everything to do with the use of helos. However i fail using the littlebird :/
But yes, the high speeds, deep undercover drops of snipers, the dodging of AA. Massive Thrills.
Infantry a very close second.

It really depends on the map, the enemy faction and their vehicles for me, so I can't really conclude.
Can someone please fix the typo in "groulnd" in the thread's title?

Jets all the way max fire power and long range fire power and very accurate especially if you have experienced JTAC's and SL's that know how to mark targets properly i hate it when there is not grid reference given, if there is not grid ref i refuse to go in unless I know there is no AA need all the flares I have in case of an enemy jet.

Yep. Atleast in its current form. Then we have a 1-2 more ground pounders holding the line along with a decent form of fire-support.RHYS4190 wrote:so I guess you whould preffer to have Artillery rather then air support,
Proof that cheese love is better then any other.
