There has been no attempt to implement it yet to my knowledge.

Yeah I know, it's just frustrating to say the least if it really did happen the way I heard... just seems greedy
You dont know what happened because you werent involved with it! We could argue back and forth all day on this and probably never see the others point so lets leave it at that.

Look not to make this personel or seem rude but there wasnt any type of an anoucement because quite simply its not peoples buisness why the server was down! If you were involved then you have the facts. If you dont have the facts then your arent involved so dont worry about it.

The servers up all that matters right? If you want to thank somebody thank the PR Communitty

TCC operates a mumble server for the whole community, you could have at least told us it was the server being down and not our CLIENTS I know a few people were fretting over their network settings etc wasting their time trying to join so that they could play PR with teamwork etc. You don't have to give reasons, but it would have been nice to know it was server side! TCC provide the server free to we, the users so thanks for that. But no reason to be snotty about it.

I'll be happy when the new official mumble server is up if it means we get that kind of consideration.

I see your point Rudd, and I'm not trying to be snotty mate, whats done is done I cant change that now. Your getting very heated and used the word consideration, well sometimes CONSIDERATION can cause some rash decisions cant it?

Like I said most important thing is that the server is online and able to be utilized right?

kk tlindy, you are right. The important thing is that the mumble server is up and running so that the clan events that have been planned can go ahead.

ty for continuing to run it.

Question -

Does the current mumble server only accept connections from the PR mumble client or for all versions of mumble?

I've not updated mine for some time. I've not used the PR mumble. So, it must allow all versions.

Question -

With the PR version of Mumble, some of the controls are locked. Can you still adjust 'Audio Output' - volume & other applications?

All versions. The server is not running the PR version as far as I know.

The fact you can connect with "vanilla" mumble, is a big drawback at the moment.

Its possible to listen to everyone on the server, if you use the "vanilla" version with certain settings.

if the server is full of mumblers, generally they can't hear anyhting over everyone talking (since they will be hearing EVERYONE)

During the cancelled iGi mumble night we were getting reports that several people's mumble was crashing, including mine. Restarted it, reloaded pluggins and it was fine.

Our server was being bitchy, could that cause it?

Still looking forward to the next mumble version!

Rudd im thinking its the Mumble plugin that enables the tracking of the player, and that follows him through the game world, i think thats what caused the "lag"

Ive seen it before, always with mumble... Never seen this without mumble.

Wicca, we had a mumble night 64 people, vehicle maps and shite last time...thre was no problem reported by ANY1.

So no, I don't think Mumble caused the lag, and that is not what I was talking about.

I was talking about what might cause MUMBLE to CRASH for some people

Mumble keeps crashing with BF2 on my own server too every now and then. You just have to restart it and it will work again. Not sure what's causing it, but what I can say, it's not the PR Mumble server :)

I was wondering if, to prevent problems with Vista users, could you set the background application volume as default 100%, not hardcoded though so that people who don't get problems can play with that setting.

Heres to mumble .5 when it comes :)

0.5 requires the server being set up with it and all the registration details passed across. Not sure when it will be done by, but all thats remaining to be done is the logistics of that. I have done all the programming on it.
