Apparently someone doesn't want to see mods being developed. We're currently under a malicious attack and cannot estimate how long the boards will be down. We may take advantage of the downtime to move hosts. Expect the boards to be back-up in the next 3-7 days.
My own mod website http://www.infantrymod.com has been attacked too... (it seems like they emptied/destroyed the Database on my site... I sure hope that isnt the case at bfeditor.org forum.
I have no idea if they did anything to the TBF2 site, meaning the staff at TBF2, but when I have trouble connecting to a site I believe that it could be because I try to connect while they are "servicing" their server.... Or it could quite simply be too many people try to connect at once.
I bet it was EA, they got jealous after i sent em an e-mail saying Public Mod teams work better /faster than ya'll slow asses...i hope its not the reason, i bet it was the n0ths.com pricks
if these forums are using phpbb old version i can confirm its not a attack against the forum for being bf2editor once cuz i admin a forum with phpbb and it got feeked up last week with database errors just like that.. im pretty sure its a cracker/hacker 's out there just trying to ruin stuff as always
"It's every man's dream to hear that beer and pizza can prevent cancer," he said. "However, the 17 beers and four large pizzas needed to get enough xanthohumol and lycopene to help prevent prostate cancer is unfortunately not advised."
loads of exploits were released in the public domain to hit this type of forum software. the only real answer for now is to use fully updated Vbulletin software. I've seen a few sites going down and losing their databases due to the "pm filled" exploit
