Which side do you prefer on Insurgency?

To all those guys asking for a both option, the idea was to find out which side was the most popular, and a both option pretty much ruins that, as blatently loads of people will pick that. So thats why theres no both......

for me it depends on which insurgents. i like the Iraqis because of the IEDs etc. But i lost some interest in the Taliban since the IEDs got removed from them - especially since today IEDs are more widely used in Afghanistan then in Iraq and it would be logic to give IEDs back to them

IEDs are MUCH more common in Iraq than in Afghanistan. Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are 2 completely different groups. The Taliban have learnt to use IEDs, and they are both Muslim, but they still generally throw fighters at BLUEFOR. Al-Qaeda pretty much places IED's everywhere (not saying they don't throw around troops now and again)

Allahu Ackbar all the way! I love shooting my Ak-47/74/74U without any real intention of being accurate, just laying down a lot of lead to keep the infidel's heads down. Throwing those RKG-3 Grenades at passing humvees also gives a slight rush because you have to take cover to avoid the .50 cal wrath. I don't really use grenade traps/mines/or IED's because the first two kill more friendlies that enemies and the 3rd isn't as powerful so you have to place a lot which takes too long.

but the Taliban still were more fun with IEDs - at least for me
maybe there were to many IEDs for the few raods on Korengal - but you still should be able to at least use them as limited kits there - thats my opinion

I tend to like the Taliban the best, NATO second than Insurgents. It all really depends on the map. Archer is a in-between thing however I tend to like being NATO more on it. Al Basrah or w/e its called. The one with the Oil facility, village, etc. I love being insurgents on that map.

The smaller Iraqi insurgent maps with large areas of exposed desert are quite difficult for the insurgents. Basrah is the worst offender for this, especially with the spawn limitations of the insurgents within the central city due to the location of the mosque blocking the creation of hideouts.

Any map where the insurgents are forced to engage blufor across open ground can become one sided rather easily.

The taliban maps are quite well balanced, and a lot of that comes from the spawning system on these maps.

Ramiel is also well balanced, which is largely because the insurgents aren't forced to engage in desert warfare and the insurgent spawns aren't as limited due to the large map size providing near spawn parity with the US.

I absolutely hate playing as insurgents. Their main activities usually include spawn camping mains for un used vehicles, camping caches for Americans that are too busy defending their main to attack, and camping roads for vehicles that take forever to come. Honestly, playing as America on Fallujah is quite frustrating sometimes but it's far more enjoyable than playing as insurgent. BUT, using IEDs as grenades when defending a house is pretty... interesting. Throw it out of a door, press the button as soon as it lands, reload from cache... ???.. PROFIT!

Anyway, Blufor is far more interesting. Driving a Bradley around trying to support incompetent squads to eventually get disabled or run away. Even though it's frustrating, it gives more of a teamplay fuzzy-feeling than camping roads/mains with IEDs and mines.

I've had good rounds on both sides. All the newbies are generally "OMG I WANNZ BE AMERICANOZ" so really it ends up being all the regulars vs. idiots. Good times...

I just spent 3 minutes following two lavs around on Fwest in a blue haji car. They didn't even know I was there. They are driving through the streets blowing everything away. I'm tailgating the rear LAV, teams laughing....good times.

agree with Rudd, one of my best PR experience is when i'm APC driver and have a decent squad to support\transport
and Korengal with Archer kicks *** when you play as taliban, AK+spray'n'pray=win

good guys are best when there are teamplayers on but when there are no good squads happening i play insurgents.
