My suggestions

Post by Malicious »

- Entering/exiting animations

- Change the American SF skin from neck up

- New skin for M4A1. Give it a vertical foregrip and desert color. If possible it
would be cool if you could choose from two magazines in a mag clamp or a single one. If you choose dual magazines the gun would jam more often but reload quicker.

- If possible, make a whole lot of new weapons for each classes, i.e Mk.48 and M14 for SF class, M8 for assault class.

- Again, if possible, you should be able to modify your character. I.e choose from light helmet or cap/heavy helmet.

- I take it you are putting fast roping in.

- Put RPG's/LAW's in.

- Give the SF class a Med Pack that can only be used once that will heal 25%

- Give the assault class a M16A2 and have the M203 in a kit on the ground.

This is pretty much what I can think of for now. I'd like this mod to never give in for arcadeism, I wan't it to be really customizable, alot of kits, and a more independant SF class. I really hope you change the SF class face and head, though, he's a ugly fucker and the glasses look shitty.

Thanks for your suggestions. We are already working on 1-2 of those suggestions. For the rest, we will have to look into it..

How can you not like Entering/Exiting animations?

Oh, and, I want the M203 in a kit so not everyone will have a M203(for the sake of realism). Or you could have a limited number of kits as in VietCong.

I disagree slightly with the double mags jamming more, since they're pretty just two regular mags clipped together. Beta C mags on the other hand do have a problem with jamming and misfeeds. It would be nice if dual mags would load fast for the second one, but would take longer to reload the third time due to the added bulkiness.

Also disagree with the M8 since it didn't even meet SOCOM's specifications and the SCAR L/H will be used in the near future (if not now). I also doubt any MEUSOC units would use it since the Corps rejected the M8 in favor of the M16A4.

Oh, sorry, forgot it was the realism mod.

However about the double mag business. I figured more dust and shit got into the mags if their clipped together as one of them is facing upwards.

Is this mod including the Army? I know BF2 is Marines and SOCOM Forces but just wondering if the mod changed that at all.
The USMC still uses large numbers of M16A2s.

First of all, you said you couldn't believe I didn't like the Vehicle/Animation thing. I never said I didn't. (Sorry if you were referring to someone else)

Second of all, you said you wanted a limit and you even based it off a game, that was my main point of my post.....but you restated it like it was your idea.
There was a selection of my suggestions and you said "I like all but these".

I didn't play AA so I wouldn't know.

I think the USMC was either upgrading to the M8 or the M16A4 (I know one of the branches of the US army is going to the M8, just can never remember which one). And don't ask me bout the M16A4, because I know nothing about it, an article I read yesterday said something bout one of the Army branches is going with it, and I think it might have been the USMC, something about upgrading to a familiar weapon system, all I know is what it's called (It's probably just be a slightly upgraded varient of the M16A2).

I'm sure at least one of our military experts in here can clarify this, or tell me I'm blatantly wrong :)

Only real noticeable difference between the A2 and the A3/4 is the addition of 1913 rails for adding various attachments with ease.

The M16A4 still has the governed 3-round burst and comes with the M5 Rail Adapter System (RAS). The M16A3 has a "flattop" receiver (removable carrying handle) and is capable of non-governed, full-automatic fire.

The Marines have had the M16A4 since I think even before going into Iraq in 2003. Some rifle squads experimented with the Squad Designated Marksman concept equipping them with the M16A4 with the Trijicon ACOG and a Harris bipod.
