If you pause and hold still a few seconds before you shoot you can get a one shot kill easy

Decreasing accuracy results in people not being concerned at people shooting at them since they are less likely to hit you. I know in PR v0.8 I used to exploit the long settle times to gain ground or shift position ensuring they had maximum deviation when they tried to engage me. It certainly makes stabbing people a whole lot easier.

No, accuracy is what makes people worry about being exposed to enemy fire. If you believe they can easily hit you you will seek numerical superiority, superior cover, or superior firepower. Decreased accuracy makes lone-wolfing a hell of a lot easier and it makes players less concerned about being out gunned.

I also remember in PR v0.8 where I'd just lay down in the open wait for the settle time and shoot people who exposed themselves knowing there was little chance they could ever hit me even though I was totally exposed.

please don't tell me what i should be feeling while i play and ruin my accuracy because of it. all i want is the weapons behaving as realistically as possible, with the aiming and sight in time that corresponds the factions trained soldier.

i don't want my rounds to miss because he soldier has seen a made up scenario and gotten scared/stressed. i get stressed if the scenario of the game affects me in such way. when getting shot in the face doesn't instantly kill and you eat field dressings with your behind, i don't want made up, behind the scenes scenarios leading me off target.

i'd want 0.7 laser accuracy (with current 4 sec deviation zeroing), but also eliminating the maintained accuracy when going from crouch to crouch to standing.
I agree, i mean, if soldiers are that ineffective in real life, whats the point in giving them guns? Why not just give them a laser designator and send them into the field, so they can call in bombs. I would possibly agree with these changes, if all CAS was made realistica and Atk Helos were made realistic, and finally that the pilots were always good. Seeing as that isn't going to happen, I think i'll stick with more accurate weapons ;)

Personally I don't see a problem with the deviation in PR at the moment. There have been times where I've been killed with a single round or multiple, and there have been others where I've popped up and killed a enemy a fair distance away with only a single round.
It's part of the game and it's what I'd consider to be realistic and playable at the same time.
Time to rise to the occasion.

What? Definitely not.

The game simulates - or gets close to that - a war. And people get shot during wars, period. I am not complaining about dying, but I understand how easier sitting down and complaining can be, rather than putting more effort into the gameplay and becoming a better player.

Well, you are correct, but soldiers don't die and kill at the same rate in real wars as in PR. At least not soldiers with good training. Mainly because real war and real fire fights are not about killing the enemy, and who wins a fight is not always decided by casualties.

What makes a difference in PR is:
- no way to properly simulate weapon handling, bullet physics, etc.
- no weapon sway, you aim like a robot.
- no cover system, making players expose more of themselves than necessary.
- not the same situational awareness as real soldiers can have
- not the same fear of getting shot and wounded/killed.

I Really think it has something to do with suppression, even if you get the first shot off and you hit a couple bullets near them they still pop out half a second and shoot you once....my suggestion is make suppression have a slight deviation effect on your gun

When somebody asked Sokrates for advice, if he should marry or not, he usually answered:

"Do what you want, either way you will regret it."

Lower the accuracy, increase the accuracy, no matter what you do some players will still complain. If you lower accuracy back to (0.8?) I will complain,

you know your right.......to solve one shot kills now we make weapons more accurate so we think we can shoot them now...but they also get more accurate weapons

we make them less accurate so now we cant shoot them and they cant shoot us......now that i gave it more thought.....the deviation is fine....except in some random cases where you get one shoted

This would work for the INS. Conventional armies are trained to be cool under fire.

im pretty sure you can ask the hardest war veteran, when a bullet comes near him he will hit the dirt as quick as possible.

Until getting shot actually renders a player combat ineffective, this video will always summarize how PR firefights work IMO.

There are no repercussions for getting shot at the moment. Getting shot should hurt, and hurt a lot. As soon as you are shot, you should see the fully red/bloodstained view and make it very hard for you to do anything without receiving medical attention.

The LMG is really the only "Laser" weapon IMO, and only because it can put so many rounds into such a tight spot. Otherwise I feel like with the exception of the first shot, the guns handle beautiful.
