So this EFX Sound Pack/ other stuff
Hi guys I havent been around for a while, had a little 'distraction' IRL that lost my commitment to PR. Im playing again now and also planning to create a good map, unless your up to the eyeballs with quality ones? Am also spreading the word around the net.
Anyway. I listened to those efx sound packs and would be more than prepared to donate. So is there an official list somwhere I havent seen? Like I say I would be prepared to because that would make pr an even more immersive and intense experience. Those sounds are amazing.
How much would you pay in a whip round for Ultimate Weapon! http://www.efx-sound.com/site/us/frames0.htm
Duckhunt £20
Top_Cat the great £20
USM £50

Thank you for creating this thread. What i really would like to hear, is the final opinion of a developer.
We grunts can donate all we like, but unless you DEV's actually like or want the stuff, there is little point.
So what do you actually think and if you like the idea, explain how it could be implamented (how to donate, what sounds needed ext.). thanks

It needs to be done, Basically everyone say how much they will donate and I will keep editing the origional post as to how much it makes up. Just just show its a real possibility and a way we could help. A soundpack that proffesional would really make this mod rise above the rest.
I dont want to get in to trouble or anything but lets just see how much we would be prepared to give. Ultimate Weapon 1 is 120 euros, which works out to £82 plus vat is around £100. £100 is around $185. keep it simple by doing it in GPB.

lol, even if there was a maxium donation of £10, and the desision to buy had to be agreed by 90% of the developers and 200 players out of a 300player pole.
And only then, if enough number of players dontate, will a purchase be made.
THis system ensures that donations are used correctly, almost stops people creating the game they want buy donating large sums of money and should overall create a more fun and reaslitic PR.
I am sure no one can disagree with the last point.
i do hope that this thread does not die on me, end with this post. DEV's PLEASE POST YOUR OPNINONS, +5 DEV' opnions would be good, or 2 master, allpowerfull DEV's would do instead.

Yes its simple im seeing what we are willing to give for the good of the mod, in a way that you dont need leet programing skills for. Like you said, make a finalised list, paypal the money, buy the cd, implement it into the mod and we have the best sound possible.
Yea Sirex brilliant teamwork calling in that arty. We were first and second place at the end of the round. I like the new scoring system. 400 points and no kills!

Sorry, which particular sound library were we thinking of getting? There's a few different "ultimate weapon" compilations, plus the "EFX" weapon sounds release.
They only seem to be between 50 and 120 euros for any of them, Why is this even up for discussion? I'll just buy it right now for you! it would be the least I could do for the hours of enjoyment that PRMM has given me.
So, it's simple: Select the Library you want - Tell me - I'll buy it myself and send 'er up somewhere for your DEV's to get at it.

Eggman already said he'll address the rest of the DEVs' on this.
Juniper, as much as I wouldn't have problem to you buying the sound effects the trouble is people might see it as an excuse for you to ask for more control, though I'm sure the majority of PR players are too nice to say!
I would donate to this, around a tenner I'd say. When I can be bothered to find a first job I'll probably donate more if needed.

okay, heres the most logical answer to the money issue
the Devs of the Reality Mod create a marketable product, be it stickers, posters, maybe even servers player slots for 24hrs or something on a server that is running wierd an wonderful maps for a laugh, like star wars mods and lego maps for counter strike.
the money is taken in and used to buy the sound packs. this way the Devs are running a small business that gives people something for their money and they can't lay any sort of claim to the game via their "donations"

[R-MOD]Mongolian Dude: AH man, sarcasm is so hard to get across the web, even if we are both british
[R-DEV]Jaymz: That has to be...the most epic response to a welcome thread I have ever seen. [R-CON]Mr.D ladies and gentlemen!
