Tank and APC tracks independent swivel.

Post by Qaiex »

Is it possible to make the tank and APC tracks swivel perpendicular to eachother when stationary?
Right now if you're not moving, you can't turn, and thats not really realistic.

You can pretty much turn on the spot, just don't use full throttle

If you hold left or right and tap the throttle you can pivot.

^ Thoroughly insightful help from the best A.P.C crewman I've ever seen in action. ^

Think of the left and right keys as individual track brakes, hold one and tap your throttle.

Yes I know you can still turn fairly well but you should still be able to do a 180 on a dime like a real tank/apc can.
Is it really difficult to implement?

I think the tanks don't do it very well, but the Warrior IFV does it perfectly.

The PR vehicle handling is very similar to vanilla just with a bit less oomph, so I'm guessing a lot of it is hardcoded.

it could be hardcoded, but its already very easy to turn on very small spot, have you tried

this is a solution to turn on small spot, very useful to avoid mines

give it a little gas and you can do almost 180 degree turn in tanks.
