It's boring because it is still a strategic position without any strategic assets. I understand the concept of having one player coordinating movements and fires with comms and battlelink markers but an SL can do this just as well. Why make someone sit in the box at all??
If he is to be a strategic commander (not a good fit for PR IMO) leave him in the 'box', but give him more toys to play with. (drones and limited fire support)
If he is to be a Junior field officer (the proper fit IMO for a 32 man mini-company) Give him mobility and more support assets that he has fire control over. Mortars would be very nice.
How do you make being commander a bit less boring?

So you send the squad to the wrong coordinates to spicen up the radio chatter a bitDr2B Rudd wrote:yeah,
but here's how it goes even with a good team
Sq 1, from com
Sq 1 here
Transport Sq 2 from E4 to G6, they need x2 crates at destination
Sq 1 copies
Roger, Com out
Sq 2 from com
Sq 2 here
Sq 1 is on the way to transport you to G7
Sq 2 Copies
Roger, Com out
Then you sit there for a few minutes twiddling ur thumbs until som1 gives you a contact report
Its a boring position in any case, it a realisitc position. But its dull.

I wouldn't want the game to get boring now would I?TheLean wrote:So you send the squad to the wrong coordinates to spicen up the radio chatter a bit![]()
