Complaining about servers/admins, can we?

After a nasty run in with an admin on .:IGI:., im just wondering if we can really afford spitful admins with so few servers? wont it simply drive more players off?

There are >80 servers so a few bad eggs can't make a difference.

If you have a specific grievance with IGI post here : http://www.imgoingin.co.uk which is their website. I am sure it was a misunderstanding as the IGI guys are generally very positive and mature

There are alot of servers but coming from europe theres only 3 i can really play on

so its a dead pain in the arse when i get booted for no reason from one of the few servers i can play on, but ill head over to their forum, if only to get spammed to death haha

You won't get spammed to death - and I have admin over there but must have left just before you came on.

i've had issues on their server where the staff weren't practive enough when it came to players on same side ruining the game for yourself, so I don't play on that server much if i can avoid it.

another server seeing a distinct lack of players recently is the SAS server. not surprised really, i think other people have been having some issues with the players on that server like me, with their clan members refusing to play as a team even when they have messages coming up on their server saying "squad up" !!!!

come to USM server, you won't find any problems there if you mind yer manners. By the way out server is being patched to 1.3.

In 2 months me and my mate are planning to setup 1 64 man and two 32 man servers, probably for PR. If it's up to me it will be for PR.

No admin is perfect. As long as you express your opinion concisely and not "LOL YOU GUYS ARE F*CKTARDS" or similar, i'm sure most people will respond and improve. If they don't and are rude, then feel free to tell us and the PR community at large will never go on their server again.

Just so you know, 1.3 has a lot of problems with PR. So i would suggest holding off until a fix comes out. Most of the players play on 1.22 version anyways. Would be a shame to lose a great server like yours.

What was the problem? I'm CL of .:iGi:. so would like to know and see if I can sort it out. Apart from 1 other person (who has posted in this thread and I will come to in a minute) nobody has had any problems to my knowledge so we certainly aren't driving players off. Quite the opposite in fact.

We've already discussed this. I told you I noted you saying ONCE that someone ran over you're claymores twice but after that I heard nothing from you. I'm not going to ban people based on that as it may have been a mistake.

For people to receive bans there must be good evidence of wrong doing.

Anyway, i'd appreciate that you didn't go bad mouthing our server/admins just because you didn't get your own way. If there was a major problem you should have made an effort to notify an admin.

As our server seems to be one of the most popular I am very surprised to see these kind of comments.

It also really annoys me when someone posts something like this about a particular server, but doesn't back it up with even the tiniest bit of explanation. No one has been banned from our server unless they deserved it. Be it, tking, foul language etc.

I would like an explanation from Iasthai as to why you feel the need to muddy our clan's excellent reputation and our server. It is also interesting to note that you have not yet posted on our clan forums with your grievance.

I'm sure all the hundreds of different players who come on our server can testify that we run an excellent server and our admins are very good.

I decided not to back it up at all, i didnt want to name any names or point any fingers, but needless to say someone from IGI was blaming me for their own actions while i was playing and then when i started to call him out, explaining to my team it was Him doing these things, he kicked me.

I only posted at all due to the fact ive come to expect more from you IGI guys seeing as you generally right a pretty tight server and play well, so it just annoys the hell out of me when i have to put up with that kinda thing, Regardless its hardly abig deal unless this person starts doing it on a daily basis

What kind of actions? We only kick for people TKing, abusing chat, to make room for an admin/clan member and I can't think why you would have been kicked for someone saying they were doing certain 'actions'.

Sounds like it's more been a case of misunderstanding/co-incidence you were kicked rather than anything malicious.

Users of the .:iGi:. server seem to forget that it takes quite a lot of effort on the part of admins to police games to ensure fair play and that everyone is having fun. The clan also have to pay for the server in the first place and allow other players to use it at their discretion.
As U.G.H. has pointed out with the numbers of people using the igi server currently (it seems very popular at the moment

) your not going to be able to please all of the people all of the time.
If people wish to be more actively involved in providing a well admined server why don't they join a clan themselves and start contributing towards the payment of their own server and giving up some of their time to admin it.
At the end of the day igi members will always have 1st refusal on the server and will try to be mature and fair when it come to kicking people to make way for igi members.
If players come to the server and are abusive or are not playing in a manner which promotes fair play they will be warned and ultimately kicked but everyone should be treated fairly. If anyone has any issues with admins then the forum over at igi should be the first port of call imo. It seems a bit odd that igi seem to be the last people to hear about this and have any chance of having their say.

I'd just like to chime in here and say I'm an Admin on that server and talk to the IGI guys quite a lot - they are very good and run a fine server.

In my experience they have had nothing but a positive effect on PR and shouldn't have their name tarnished by these accusations!
