Yeah it was created by me, and i don't think i can release PR poly count guides to the public can i? It's within the limits of PR models, i can tell you that

I'm not trying to be a ****** about the poly count but I don't wanna step on any toes seeing as how this is the trial task and i'm still new to the forums.

That model looks really nice. :D

Most people who submit 3D models are asked to give the poly and/or tri count. I think it may have to do with verifying if that model belongs to the author.

The PR mod has had plagiarists before pass off other people's hard work as their own, judging by this thread: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f66-pr ... rning.html

If you're worried about stepping on toes, you can wait for official word on the matter if it's okay to reveal poly count to the general public. :) I won't pressure ya to spill the beans. :p

By trying too hard, we put ourselves at a greater risk. Don’t you think so?

Is it R-DEV Rhino who set you the task?

If so, he is away for a few days. He'll be back soon though, and he'll probably get in contact with you then ;)

Those renders should have absolute grey as the background (128/R 128/G 128/B) That way we/people can see more details

metal parts are fine, but wooden... something is wrong, especially with forestock, it looks like it was made with axe

Can we see a shot looking directly at the front or rear -- the POSP appears to be positioned over the bore, which is not the case with Russian Optics.

Otherwise it looks ACE.

yeah this is 100% ready to be put in game... the poly count is about 3500 for the 1p view model... and i will get you a front and rear render as soon as i get back onto my main PC... may i ask what is a POSP? just in case i do notice it is off i can fix it before i send it to the DEVS

The POSP is the name of the optics mounted on the gun.

Ok so your comments have been great guys. I have noticed a few things that need to be updated to make it realistic.

As a graphic designer in RL i know how important it is for attention to detail. But sometimes when you stare at something for hours on end those small details or the "i'll get to that part later" get missed. Gimme a day or two to update and make the changes, and i'll show ya guys another render or two. You've been a great help and your comments are what keep people like me truckin ;)

K so i just edited the first post and added all the renders there. Instead of people having to search through all the posts in this thread.
