have to say overall the update is spot on though it doesnt feel like major aspects have changed the game just feels more polished and finished as you could say overall very good, ps i shot down a little bird on my own with lmg deployed but standing up lol so sweeeet and i got 7 kills with it and i dont even remember killing more than 2 lol

ok back to the real world:

Hand guns are epic now
Me loves every gun now
G3A3/M16 Balance is better in my opinion
and WTF with instant jets and choppers at Quinling? that was new to me :O
The new ACOG is better, more accurate, as well for the M16/M4's
The new Medic system with instant death one min after revive makes up for the lack of instant death headshot.
also loves the new weapon selection.
Also, the new red-dot sight is a bit wierd but it works like cheese :D
My two cents ;)

If every weapon, rifles, handguns, etc. were made in PR as good/powerful as real life counter-parts in the first place, then there wouldn't be a problem with making AR more realistice. Imho, the AR has the best weapon handling so far, with new CQB sighting mode, it shows how easy it is to handle a weapon in RL.

M249 rocks its not a lazor weapon its less accurate then a rifle but because u spray 5-6 rounds at a time you can kill closley grouped enemy with ease. the mode were you just look over the scope rocks for CQB anything less the 50m its awesome, long sight in time is good

I was blown away by all the new animations. Very nice! But 2 things. the red dot on the red dot sight shows up in the middle of the screen while the scope is being lifted to your face. looks pretty bad. And, take a look at the bugs section with that grenade launcher bug. Looks really bad. :-P

Aye, post in the PR bugs section. I agree that^^
0.86 has polished alot from 0.85 and I cant say anything more then PR has become alot more fun now when we got more LMG's and people seem to use mumble more.

In 0.9, if you cant give us 1337z0re f4s7r0p3s you've gotto disable that stupid voip and make mumble the mandatory shizzle.

I was one of the "LMG=OVERKILL" dudes, but since I did not play in a real game yet, I can not say much about it. It is sure not fair, but there is always a way to approach an enemy.
Sicario is right here, ARs must be feared like hell and I will always think twice before running into a street from which i know there is a AR dude somewhere...

I found a major bug in the game. When an enemy insurgenet picks up a kit from a US team member they aquire the blue name above themselves making them look friendly. This did not happen in .85 thus it's making for more friendly kills. I saw someone shooting at me today in Fallujah and they had the blue name tag above them so I didn't shoot at them and of course they killed me. This needs to be fixed.

When you installed the patch it should have given you a new shortcut.
My targe should be:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"

Should start in
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr"

Never had a complaint about about Project Reality...except now. I thought the Insurgents weapons were fine in .85, but now they suck really really hard. Only 2 rounds and it ruined my once favorite faction. When the IED's and RPG's damage was reduced in .85 and .8 I didn't think much of it, still was okay, now they reduced the RPG more and now the Ak's accuracy is down even lower. I know the Ak-47 isn't accurate in real life, but at least it can get out to 300m and still be affective.

Maybe the problem here isn't the AR kits but the victims of the AR kits.
With new additions to any game (or battlefield if you like) you must learn to adapt and take advantage of any weaknesses, one I can think of for an AR kit is the relatively slow turning while in sights, so flank the gunner.

Complaining won't get you anywhere.

Insurgents have been totally borked. All their weapons have been made much less accurate. They couldnt hit anything to begin with, now it is worse.
Scoped LMGs, now not only do we have to deal with ACOGs acting like snipers, we need to worry about LMG acting like snipers.
