PR since v0.7?

I played PR in a few versions up to and including v0.7 and loved it. I remember the update to v0.8 was supposed to slow down game play among other things, since v0.7 was quite fast.

Basically I tried v0.8, but it was too slow for me. I didn't have the time to play 3+ hr games, so I stopped playing. How much has PR changed since then? I want to start playing again, but I figured I'd ask before going through the whole install process.

.85 sped the game up a bit again, its at a very nice speed now.
