The scoped AR sucks.
Zero perfieral vision, can't cover a street for shit. I've got a clan war tongiht, and I'm supposed to be covering an intersection. With the scope up I can see maybe 20% of what I'm covering, and undeployed, the accuracy doesn't even make it to the other side of the intersection.
Rifleman kits have on option of scoped and unscoped, why not the AR.
Love the game, guys, I just wish you hadn't fixed what wasn't broken.

0.86 is great. BUT Chinese assault rifles are unfair accuary compared with USMC M4 with aqog or what it is... I was prone for 6 seconds and aimed straight to enemy head, but no M4 missed it. So, chinese looks towards me and fires full auto burst. Im dead. 50m distance between us.

The new scoped LMG and all the ACOGs out there seem to be hindering the Blufor team on the INS maps. Instead of actually looking for caches, they sit around acting like snipers, just getting their kill count up. So the caches go unattacked. So the rambos arent much help.

If you can't cover a spot from a position because you're too close to see enough, yet too far away to shoot accurately while undeployed then... bad luck simply.

The devs might provide an option, IMO the ironsights were useless before.

Sounds like a hit detection issue with the engine rather than gun accuracy.

However, I do share the frustration of those moments.

Lol, those 'pesky camping rambo LMG players' and their 'hindering insurgent killing'. *shakes fist*

At least they're occupying the insurgents, they could just be wandering around aimlessly getting themselves killed instead.

BTW not every squad wants to hunt caches all the time, occasionally some start role playing....

I played Insurgency for the first time yesterday since the update.

I was automatic rifleman and hell yeah, I had a lot of kills. But only when it came to man vs. man on mid-distance. A boomstick always got me cuz of his CQC skills. Also when we got ambushed (going through alleyways, always a nightmare for me) I got my *** raped soo hard when they started throwing molotows and AKs fired.

Well well, I also got owned myself by a MEC machinegunner, really nice. But he did not get me again, since I just walked around the spot.

Now I see this and think: Zombies get slaughtered, the new AR is not so overkill as I thought, you just have to be sneaky and avoid visual contact, what imo is one important thing in PR.

I like the new patch. :)

Intense firefights on infantry maps (had one of the best firefights on asad on british side)

Intense search for cover because of AR snipers :D

Awesome AR sniping on any map, AR have most kills in any squad after my experience so far.

Very good sound of the british rifles, I really didnt like the ones from 085, now I am very happy with the british rifle sounds.

That were my first impressions

P.S.

AR in undeployed mode in close quarter inside a building with a enemy squad storming in = madness :D :D

Well, their job is to destroy caches. If every squad is just out sniping with their ARs and LMGs, no one is going after the caches, even when they are right in front of them. You can kill as many insurgents as you want. But it wont matter, as they dont have kill tickets.
I wouldnt say they are occupying the insurgents, more like the insurgents are occupying them, as they dont leave their little hidey holes to actually go in for the BIG kill.
