quick question on downloading

hello all.

I have just noticed the new version of game come out, nice work.

My question is, as i tried looking but the main thread seem to only relate to the old versions.

question is:

I currently have the older version, not sure what one, but the one before this new one that has just come out.

Do i need to uninstall this older version before i download and install the newer one?

and if so is there any links or help about how i go about uninstalling what i got installed and installing the new stuff as i cannot find a thread relating to the new one exsplaining this,

You need to unistall the old one if it's older than 0.85 (which you seem to have according to your text) so you just need the 322MB 0.85 -> 0.86 patch.

Just fire it up and check what version you have. The version number is on the left corner in the menu. If it says PR v. 0856, just download the small patch and off you go

i got 0.85 version just checked.

what should i download then to get it working as it seems i dont need to get rid of 0.85 then.

but doesnt have any links/insructions about what exactly i need to download, do i need the 2 differant files, ie core/lvls... or just 1 file?

bassically exsplain for the noob, what i need to download ie link, and will i need to change/mess around with anything other than download that link and install

Ok, You say you have version 0.856

So just use this

That's all you have to do to get the latest version install. You don't need uninstall anything. Just run that and you are good to go.

just downloaded but it saying this during the install wizard:

"important information about project reality"

IMPORTANT INSTALL INFORMATION

be sure to uninstalll all previuos versions of project reality before installing this version"

when it says "uninstall" does that just mean to delete the whole pr folder in the mods section or is there some unistaller program?

The Normal PR installers (core and levels) have there own "un-installers" in the Windows control panel.

As for the "IMPORTANT INSTALL INFORMATION" page in my "PR-Downloader". I Must change that a bit. This is the 1st thing that has come up that is wrong. I Need to change that to say that "if you don't have version 0.856 or above, then you must un-install all previous versions of PR".

For now. Just Ignore it. I will make the change in the next few days.
