Hi peeps, This one has become a problem with many people playing 0.86 so far.
I have the same issue on 3 of 5 computers, all with Identical Spec. There is litterally no difference in hardware.
Not only does PR.exe simply close back to desktop after each map, but it seems that a lot of servers on 0.86 are doing the same thing, however the server just...vanishes...
I heard from a few people on this and have been testing a few methods of which could lead to an answer.
I adjusted the Page files several times, trial and error. This is based on 2GB Ram with a page file of 3GB Max 4.5GB.
When using these settings, I only get the problem after every 2 maps. Still PR.exe still closes. Smaller Page files, more chance of problem?
For many of us, even people who arn't registered on this forum.
Possible Mem fault somewhere?
Anyone else?

Re: 0.86 Closes on Every Map or Level Change
This happens to me as of the new patch. I play one map and then drop after loading the next map. A few times I've dropped before the end of a map. The error says it's a memory error. I have 3 gigs of Ram, also noticed that in past updates I've had this problem for the first week or so, then it goes away. I think it's a server problem probably.

Re: 0.86 Closes on Every Map or Level Change
i have had this problem since 0.8, i updated my graphics driver and everythings fine, my card is a 9800 GT it seems to be a problem with Vista and the graphics card to me so youll have to just update to the latest driver and then test it maybe even roll back a driver
good luck but id say the bug is independent to the graphics card

Me and my mates have same problem almost on every map, then we closed xFire and the problem was history.
I think problem is about others programs who runs in background.
I figure that out when i played PR and my lovely WinXP start updating next was CTD.
