Can't spawn a medic into squad ???

Last night, on Gib AAS, we started a squad originally with 4 guys - but nobody could spawn with a medic kit. It just says 'select a different kit'. This persisted for the entire round. Eventually our squad was full - but nobody in the squad could be a medic.

Then, the round ended and a new one started - same thing - no medic spawn allowed.

This was the first time I saw this in .86 - has anyone else?

To get around this just pick it up like you normally would any other limited kit from a crate. Its a bug with the system that occurs when a player has taken a medic kit and then leaves the squad but keeps the kit iirc.

ahh, ok. I didn't think of getting it from a crate.

But in this case the bug was evident from the start of each round. i.e. no one was in the squad as medic and then left.

None of use could select medic from the very beginning...

medic kits have been limited in the new patch. i think you have to request the medic, if im not mistaking

dont comment when you obviously havn't played the new patch.

as jigsaw said, just request it.

Also a problem i have seen with the SAW kit ect, if some one picks up a new kit and keeps the SAW selected on his spawn screen no one can take it. so you have to wait for him to die and deselected the kit.

Or he can request it from a crate for himself or another member in the squad instead of waiting to die.

To get around this just pick it up like you normally would any other limited kit from a crate. Its a bug with the system that occurs when a player has taken a medic kit and then leaves the squad but keeps the kit iirc.

The bug also happens if you take a medic kit from a dead soldier who isn't in your squad, which tends to happen when a medic is killed and two or more squads are traveling together and have wounded that need healing.

I had something like this with the Saw. No one in the Squad had it since round start and we couldn't spawn with it. I go to select it off a crate "Unavailable Due to Squad Limitations"
