2 Types of Supply Crates Idea

As we all know, along with vBF2 came vehicle drops. Since most of us in this PR mod dont like that idea (according to the poll), what if we used that "slot" to allow for two types of supply crates? The commander would have one air drop to use with a replenish/reload time before he could choose again.

INFANTRY Supply crate - this would provide ammo and medical supplies

VEHICLE Supply crate - this would rearm vehicles.

Just an idea. Could be fleshed out with tweaks here and there.
Realism and fun aren't mutually exclusive.

Hold on, I just realised that it's possible to differentiate vehicle ammo with infantry ammo. I was told that there was only one type of ammo for everything. How is this so?

I like the idea, but I think having a medical supply crate and an ammunition supply crate would be best.

But, it doesn't matter, according to the 0.31 release notes they're going to be tweaking vehicle drops to suit PRMM. Sounds like they're still gonna use the idea.

Edit: We do of course have the scan and UAV options idle at the moment... I'm sure something could be done with those as far as adding multiple crates is concerned. I think the scan option could be incorporated back into PRMM so when activated it detects all vehicles on the map and relays the information to everybody, or something like that. More importantly, the idle UAV option could be used for this alternative crate as there's already a blank space for it on all HUDs. The same VO message can be used for the standard supply crate, it'd just show a different written message. Players can request an ammo crate or a medical crate or a car. Awesome!

there isn't really a differentiation between vehicle ammo and soldier ammo, just a setting to say "works on vehicles" and "works on soldiers".

but it doesn't break down any further from there - at least in the experimentaiton we have done. there is an ammo type definition, but supply objects appear to ignore it.
