Even in PR, I see those who all they do is take the assets. Simply put, this provides a countdown after using an asset IF YOU LOST THE ASSET (someone else gets a turn). If you kept it all round, you are deemed as beneficial to the team and this penalty isn't incurred. This is intended to penalize those who are utter noobs.
Thoughts?

Re: Asset Sharing System
Well it seems reasonably fair in theory, for the cases where people are wasting assets.
But it's not accounting for people who just really enjoy using a particular asset and lose it by honest mistake/connection timeout.
I'm sure this has been suggested a few times before and is probably hardcoded.

I agree. Keep it up for 20 mins w/o disconnection (disconnection resets unless you died already), and it should not be penalized.Snazz wrote:Well it seems reasonably fair in theory, for the cases where people are wasting assets.

Re: Asset Sharing System
I don't agree in this form
If it was implemented you could do it via kits, "you can only request a crewman/pilot kit after 30mins of ur previous one"
I'd like to see rescuing surviving crewmen and pilots become more important, maybe add a max # crewman/pilot kits for team as well.

nah, that wouldn't work well Rudd, it was like that back in 0.5 and generally half of the vehicles were standing at main because all crewmen kits have been issued

Re: Asset Sharing System
-I'd say you're just impeding everyone by trying to punish an extreme. Most of the time assets aren't lost to n00bery, they're lost because somebody actually have to win. If two tanks are engaged in a skirmish one side will win, but you can't penalize the other side because of that. Additionally, dedicated squads usually perform better and having a system like in the OP will only negate and dilute the skill of the players. It would also require twice as many people to make use of the assets as the people who lose one can't use another for an extended time, and that's just a waste of manpower. What you'd end up with is a lot of unused assets, more wasted assets, and less efficient assets.

It can be frustrating when people are just buzzing around losing choppers, shooting random guys. Driving precious apc's across ied ridden streets but people got to learn somehow.
So best try to correct them in a civil way, or if they are ignorant hope there is an admin around that will kick them if they are a real burden on the team.

100% disagree with this. Alot of assest maps you loose your vehicle within 20 minutes due to someone coming and killing you, even when your not a noob.

But, Don't you think it's more benificial for the person who originally use it? Because, they may of chose it because they know how to use it, but if they constantly spam for it, they should be denied..
JUst an idea.
