things will get better if they encorperate ammo cars for insurgents in the next release. but so far theres no new model in the works. (they arnt, but i wish they would) having a few civilian vehicles that are indestinguishable from non-ammo vehicles will twist things up even further. but without this, the only reliable tactics for the insurgents will continue to lead coilition forces right for their caches like a moth to the flame.

I would like to see an ammo truck for the insurgents. Something like a technical without the gun, or maybe a van. Otherwise we do lead them right to the caches.
Of course, one or two insurgent classes have an ammo bag as well.

My comments on .86 insurgency after about a dozen rounds of al basrah. The ins. won every single round. Didn't matter what side I was on, ins. or blufor. As blufor we just never had enough tickets to get all the caches. So I wonder how much peoples experience is affected simply by who's playing? Also, I've never had so much fun playing ins. nor have I seen so many arrested civi's. We arrested 3 last night. It was a blast.

I still think they're emphasizing too much teamwork for the insurgents. =/ It acts to conventional. =( Sorry to say, but it was more fun when the insurgents had to deal with A10's tbh. At least when you took it down you could be all like "YEAH. WE TOOK DOWN AN A10!!! HAHA!" and feel proud for defeating the americans.

:cry: Insurgency has been ruined since like... .7.... T_T maybe .6 was the beginning of its suck.. but... for the most part... .7... T_T

Well, I just played one round as Ins on Ramiel yet and all I can say is: IT FOCKIN PWNZ!!!11!

To everybody out there who says "The RPG is shit ... " You fail miserably. My first 4 kills were a landing BH that i blew up with the RPG. After that I killed two Strykers with ease.

Its just like a H-AT now. You stand still, aim slowly at your target and BOOOM its down.

Apart from that, the AK-74U is still t3h pwnage within if you ask me.

And with only 2 caches visible its just awesome cuz you have nearly the whole team on one cache if the other one isnt revealed yet.

You DEVs are damn good at what youre doing, and what youre doing is VERY NICE :D

Sounds like most folks here are just suffering from a lack of teamwork. I've been playing a great deal of insurgency lately and yes, for the most part the insurgents win every single time. The only one that stood out was due to some clown giving away cache locations. The RPG and IED's work extremely well....when properly employed. Folks don't seem to have any problem shooting up BLUFOR with insurgent weapons, just take a few extra seconds before opening up and nine times out of ten your target is going down.

As for the A-10 being removed from Basrah, one of the best things to happen to the map. Nothing was more frustrating than having some clown swoop down and tk entire squads/rp's or vehicles in their quest for personal glory.

Insurgency rocks in .86. I have a feeling that most people complaining about the insurgent side have been playing it the same as they play the BLUFOR.

Guess what folks, you have to change your mindset about insurgency now. With the new weapons you can't just run around like fools...got to use you head and let the BLU come to you. BLU don't win by sitting outside the city waiting for you to come out of your defenses. Make then come into the cities and alleys...those scopes won't help them there. Then take their precious SAW's and sniper rifles and use it against them. Play smart and the kills will come.

With that said. I rarely see the BLU win a round on insurgency. The only time i see them win is on fallujah when the caches spawn literaly in the same building as the one that was just destroyed. But that only seems to happen on fallujah. But on the good side, my squadmate killed 2 Bradleys on the same map with one IED each. They seem to be working fine. And the RPG works great if you take some time to aim tha damn thing. But that go right back to what I was just saying. Stop taking the RPG's and running out into the desert looking for armor. Wait for that armor to come to your killing field. That will give you plenty of time to let it settle for an accurate shot.

Nice job DEVS...thank for putting the time and effort into making this FREE and FUN mod for the rest of us. I really hope people stop bitching about something they don't even pay for. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

this is because the projectiles for all weapons actually come from the center of ur avatar's body. All of the AT weapons are guilty of being easy to do what you did though, this is to prevent people sticking their avatar's model through walls and shooting stuff I think. I cant see how the sights could be changed to help avoid it tbh.

this is fine. What you can do is go to a cache, reload ur IED, go to a spot, put it down, rinse and repeat a couple of times. you now have a very big IED which will kill just about anyhting. single IEDs are small and therefore only good against infantry or light vehicles. A APC that has been IEDed once will often RTB anyway.

so i joined all the peaple that DC the sec thay are insurgants.my once faverate team in the whole game :sad: the only way opfor can lose is if a cache is so hidden thay cant find the damn thing like on archer and korangal valley.

recon. I sit on a hill with my squad in a superior defensive position until I've located where the enemy are getting kits and reloading

if somone can tell what insurgants are good at apart from the there good at close range **** please do but i cant see any fun in them any more.

on archer they get enough technicals to shoot down all the choppers extremely quickly, and their infantry. If a hummer comes to get you you can just escape downa mountain road.

I assume u put "sucks" in to the title. that would be considered rude really, even if meant as a joke. using smilies is a way of showing its a joke.

Psyko, blufor destroy all vehicles they see, idle or not. So just give technicals ammo boxes again and give the Ins a vehicle depot of some kind. tadah, insurgents now get to shoot stuff away from their caches and set proper IEDs.

The Taliban have ainfantry ammo class so its fine on their end.

I hate people who leave a server en-masse from the team they don't like. But thats why I think AAS and INS servers are best separated. You know what your getting in to.

good call Rudd, but i wouldnt mind seeing somthing new like a black sadan or somthing cool. with new ideas, you might as well have a new outter look on it too.

Ok so on al bashan and I got an arty IED and placed it and after a 10 min of waiting a scimy comes rolling by my ARTY ied and I blow it maybe a meter from him and he drives away smoking!!!! I mean come on how weak it an ARTY IED?

I dunno about that. I think its buggy rather than intentionality bad.

You could have been WAY unlucky and some random static in the road blocked the explosion?

got an RPG kit found a nice spot on a landing.challanger rolls up,i fire, the round hits the balcany under me making me bleed.so i move spot to a window fire it hits the wall next to me i die thinking ook thats irritating
you also have to stand still for around 7 seconds otherwise the RPG can go anywhere.

maybe you didn't do that, I dunno.

nah i was laying in wait for ages its possable i may have side steped slightly but cmon lol. but when i first came on i shot an rpg when i just stop running and it was a direct hit just seems a little inconsistent
o btw i cant seem to play no more PB keeps kicking for (unknown windows api functions)it was not unknown yesterday :-x

So this one time, I had like...4 IEDs set up in this ally. I saw an enemy walk into it. I got all excited. The rest of his squad was about to enter the ally. I sneezed and blew my ***....the premature detention saved the rest of the squad. Sure scared em though!


Now that I'm done sidetracking this thread with my pointless story. IEDs seem to be fine. How ever the RPGs leave a little to be desired.

How ever seeing as how nothing short of Blufor working together in a true combined arms manner can win them the round. I don't see a need to buff the haji.

If anything. Give the RPG kit one anti personnel rocket. Just one, and have it take a lot of time to reload.

I am glad they made the RPG as inaccurate as it is now. Well, it is actually pretty accurate if you wait the 8 seconds required, but with such a long wait time, it helps the noobs mess up shots.

I like this because the damage has been increased. I rarely ever had an RPG disable an APC until .86, now it is almost guaranteed if you land ONE hit on an APC, the tracks/turret will go down. I played Ramiel as an insurgent and BLUFOR and almost every RPG that was a first hit on a Stryker disabled it, that one RPG might as well have blown it up. Luckily I had a good team that brought repairs as us as crewman jumped out to shoot the RPG INS.

As far as regular IEDs from the Sapper kit, no you probably wont kill an APC with it. I had an INS place and IED under my LAV in West Fallujah and it did not kill me, but it damaged it enough that it made it smoke. Usually this means one RPG or another IED would probably kill me, so that one IED did quite a bit.

Oh yeah and like one of the DEVs here said, Insurgents almost win every round, they suck so much the win more than they did pre-.86, CRAZY! They suck so much that one RPG disables an APC, PKMs can be used deployed in the standing, they suck so much that there is only two caches to defend thus increasing the saturation of Insurgents in any given area. OMG!!1!

Please, get over it, people post this **** primarily because they had a crappy personal experience. You can play for 10 years, still does not mean you are good, some people will just always suck.

I think this is a map based problem rather than INS vs BLUEFOR problem.
On taliban maps US still has extreamely hard time winning (Korengal beeing the hardest).
On INS maps only one beeing biased towards US is Fallujah with up to 4 APC with heat rounds. Outcome thou debends highly on those APC:s
Basrah, Ramiel and Karbala are doable by both sides.

It's not really associated with insurgency, but was the LAT splash damage reduced too? Because few days ago, i was squad leading on baracuda (chinese side) and there was a squad bug on the USMC side, so there were very few ppl and almost no fighting. So out of boredom my SM with a LAT shots one round into a guys with a HAT from anothers squad. Guess what? He's just fine. He takes out his field dressing,heals him self with ONLY 1 after getting hit with a LAT. Ok, my SM says it's a total BS and rearms for another shot. He then stand right next to him and shot straight into the ground. Guess what again? Neither the guy with a HAT nor my SM gets hurt.... They didn't even need a field dressing. So wtf?...i think this is a bit too much :? ??:
