I wanted to ask why they made 0.86 so weird.
They made tank third position crewman also. Why the hell developers made that? You dont need to be rocket scientist to use 50. cal just press the trigger.
Many people dont like that you cant use second position alone, i know it makes solo impossible but atleast it should be off in training. You cant use tanks or helicopters without second player. There should be switch when making server where to turn that rubbish off.
And they removed humvee spawning from firebases. That was bad, i really enjoyed that you can take humvee with our squad and going hunting.

Because he is part of the tank crew in real life.

Its not rubbish and just get a buddy to join you.

The point of the crewman requirement was to get rid of it being used as taxing space for single soldiers isn't it?

1. I dont think in real life any old soldier no matter what his specialty just hops in a tank and operates the 50. besides in real life, atleast in an abrams, there is no designated 50 cal gunner, the commander and the loader operate the 50 cal and the m240 respectively { source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abrams_tank} so that is why you need a crewman to operate the 50 in PR.

2. Us serious PR players have been dealing with solo tanks and choppers for far too long now and the DEVs have finally figured out how to stop it. Theres nothing worse than seeing your valuable armor and air assets being wasted by morons. its something you will have to deal with. as for training, what good would it do you to train without a second crewman? you need to learn how to work with another crewman in order to be a good tanker. the training servers are not playing pr with less rules, its for TRAINING. turning off the second crewman position in a training server will only make the server full of more idiots and will not help you at all in the real servers where you have to actually work with another crewman.

if you want to be a special forces guy and hop into a tank and ride off into the sunset blasting everything that moves then you may be better off playing regular battlefield2.
