Marine Acog varient

Post by mrnothing »

Was surfing the internet bored as hell and looking up photo's of marines. When i was looking closely on there M16's or M4's they held, the acog looked different to the one i was use to seeing in PR and in reality. I went on the Trijicon website and found out there was a Marine variant of the Acog. So if anybody knows, is there any difference between the one in PR lets just say and the USMC version ? if so, any plans on implementing it for just the Marines ?

Here's some photo's of what i saw

They are the same in PR, but these ones are utilizing the Killflash attachments for their ACOGs.

Trijicon TA57 Tenebraex killFLASH Anti-Reflection Device for 4x32 ACOG Scopes. TA57. Trijicon Riflescope Accessories.
I see. Thanks for the clarification. Does it though have any effect lets say if it were to be added in PR ? or does the game engine not have the features it would need to replicate light reflection ?

Marines use TA31NSN version of ACOG. Army uses TA01NSN, though you can sometimes see the TA31NSN in army pictures. Army version doesn't have that fiber optic thing, and it has iron sights on it.

Pretty sure they use both, so it's not one or the other.

Didn't I write that sometimes Army soldiers also use TA31? Anyway, usually you can see them using TA01. At least I can see more TA01 in pictures. They probably can buy other ACOGs/sights too.

No, the way you posted it made it sound like they officially use the TA01, which I'm pretty sure they don't. Otherwise the US Army in PR would be using them instead.

TA01 was being used by some units in the US Army prior to them officially adopting TA31RCO for the M150 program.
