'[R-CON wrote:Glimmerman;1070031']Although its a very nice helicopter these birds are ONLY used for SAR duty on the North sea and Wadden sea & civilian MEDEVAC for the Wadden islands.
And i also believe they will all be replaced together with all Lynx squadrons for the NH-90 any time soon.
The dutch paint scheme(even if its only grey) ROCKS! It just looks so good on that chopper!
NH90 has more then 1 role, and they're getting both types.
NH-90 NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter) - Can be used on carriers in PR.
NH-90 TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) - Can be used on land.
Surely, a Dutch corporation, Stork Fokker has taken parts of the NHIndustries which build this chopper.
The version you show us is the Navy Version (NFH) which has a radar on its stomach (the circle you can see)
I didn't know NH90s have been already delivered to Dutch Forces.
@Hauteclocque
This version was the test aircraft, according to various sources the delivery of the aircraft should begin this year.
@Kroon
We have ordered 2 types, the NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter and some MTTH (Marinised Tactical Transport helicopter). We are NOT buying the regular TTH.
HangMan: BF2 Editor, it has very strict limitations memory wise, and crashes all the time. Its like a girl. Treat it with respect and take it slow and you'll get places. Rush and get ahead of yourself and it will turn around and punch you in the mouth

Well if it's a SAR helicopter, then bright colors would make it easier to be spotted. I think so anyway.
This would be the contrary of helicopters with more active combat roles which they would have more neutral colors or camouflage at best in order to blend visually at long distances.
But yeah agreed. It does look like Lego
