Screen flickering in PR

Since the release of the latest version (might be a coincidence) I sometimes experience random screen flickering while playing a map. I can solve it by going into the menu and when I get back into the map its gone but Im not technical enough to think of a cause.
I did check my videocard temperature and after more than an hour of PR in a 27 degrees (celcius) room the core temperature was 60 degrees. Ive got the most recent drivers for my videocard (before the PR release) so that can't be it.
I run an AMD X2 4200 with 2 gigs of ram and a nVidia 8600GTS card.
Can anybody perhaps point me in the direction of a cause?

I did have the same problem and couldn't seem to figure it out. Try reverting to an older driver version... I just dumped my OS and moved to Vista 64 and it's running fine.

Just to clarify, did this flickering happen after a supression affect?

no its completely random, sometimes it doesnt happen when I play (like yesterday) but I did get it last friday. I can solve it by pressing the ESC button to go in menu, when I come back to the game its gone.
