Sprint?

Post by pleym »

Is there possible to do so the guy your playing is not getting tired while running across the street? And also if you jump over a fence you have to wait 1,40 sec until your sprint is back.
I'm just getting so annoyed, a soldier can run at least twice the distance with out getting tired.

Some thing have to be done, you cant even escape from a APC over the street with out getting tired and than killed..

Aren't the soldiers supposed to be better trained in the reality than they are on PR atm? ;)

With full combat gear on?

Save your sprint until you need it, you are already at a jog to begin with.

If any of the soldiers in PR went threw the combat fitness test before joining they wouldn't have this problem.

I wouldn't want the distance covered to be increase, as its nicely balanced now. But the speed of the sprint could go up a little.

In PR you spend the whole time running, not walking. So I'd imagine you'd be quite tired after a few minutes anyway, let alone after having to sprint for another 20 seconds. Seems fine as it is. You just have to be careful when crossing obstacles, and not all move at once.

that sums it up. people are always sprinting around just cause their sprint meters have juice in them. save the sprint for when you need it and you'll be fine.

i manage my sprint pretty well, and it's always funny when i give an order to sprint across an open space and i beat most of my guys by 50m. people are addicted to sprinting, it seems.

Could you imagine if we docked everyone to a walking pace instead of the jogging, the forums would explode.

As said save your energy for crossing streets, I have yet to find a road wide enough that my sprint bar couldn't handle.

the short sprinting bar is an anti-bunny-hop system
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Well how do you get over multiple fences, barrels and broken walls without jumping many times. You dont get tired of jumping a 5-7 times, more like 20 or more. The jump shouldnt be with the sprint. Why not make the time between jumps like 4-8 secs, that would get some bunnyhopping away from the mod.

-I was wondering if something similar to the overheating system in place for .50 cals and such could be used for sprinting, so that you can have several short sprints for crossing streets and such but if you start running for a long time you "overheat"? Basically, the stamina spent and time it takes to regain it increases exponentially the longer you sprint, so you don't get penalized for sprinting across streets or to cover.

BTW, I still don't understand why jumping drains stamina as it does not deter bunny hopping(It doesn't disable jumping), especially considering all the obstacles you need to get over. It mostly simulates climbing(or the excruciating feat of getting on to a sidewalk :p ) and penalizing players for navigating the map seems somewhat counter-productive.
