Patch 1.3 Random Crash to Desktop Little Fix

Went i play PRMM whit patch 1.3 had some random CTD. And went i disable Refrest Rate Override no more CTD for me.

If that can help some one that great

I am no coder but i cant complain this.

This is GPU-Driver Controlled and has nothing to do with game Crashes while playing, cause this rewrite refresh-rate only once, after this it do nothing.

Yes I had that issue too. This applies to ATI graphics cards with the Catalyst Control Panel. In there it is possible to force a refreshrate. Forcing it to say 100Hz when BF2 is set to 85Hz will cause a CTD.

A very nice tip Billy_Gunner, however, this offcourse has nothing to do with PRMM. It's a Catalyst Control Center vs BF2 settings conflict, and it has been there since the initial release version of BF2.

Good it's not PRMM. Yes have ATI video card but i only use Ati Tray Tools , much less ressource to do same work Catalyst Control Panel.

You will learn how work AtitrayTools better of me lol you DEV (Easy to learn) but pay attention with Avanced Tweak i never touch this. Dangerous if you don't know and what's that.

Really a good tool anyway.

NP [R-DEV]Riki_Rude_BTYC you can go Hardware option System Tray Hardware Monitoring to get GPU temp and Environment Temperature in system tray hehe

Game profile > Manage Profile is very good to you can use your normal game short cut and it's work good.( Manage Profile ) Under direct 3D and OpenGL tick restore previous setting afther game end really good to.

Went new ATiTrayTools version out go in Tools & Options >General Options > Backup Profiles it's backup.reg .

Afther you have install new version just Merge your backup reg that all never need to reconfigure your games setting.

I have disabled it in CC but crashed a lot.

Garack, Billy only covers on type of crash (visibile on all forms of BF2 AFAIK) and is not a 'fix' for 1.3 and PR.

There are several incompatability issues between 1.3 and PR .306 (.3) that can cause CTDs etc - this is why people were advised not to patch until the emergence of the 0.31 patch
