Points for lasers

Post by dominator200 »

I have noticed that wen u play in some maps laser targets r a important gameplay feature and the attacker gets all the points for the kill but the person who gives the laser gets nothing.
The way i think it should be, is the person giving the laser should either get half of the points of the kills or get the full points aswell as the person who actually does the killing, because the person who dose the killing isnt the person who is putting them selves inbetween the bulets shel or wat ever is round the corner.

It shouldn't matter who gets the points since the objective is to win the round, although really they could just give points for lazing (no matter if the target is hit or not).

The upside of lazing being abused is the aircraft have something to shoot so it's win/win!

How about this: Someone fires the laze, the laze remembers who fired it, and if that laze is destroyed by a bomb, LGM, cannon fire, etc., then the person who fired the laze gets an appropriate amount of points for the object it was stuck to. If it sticks to ground or non-destructible object, no points.

If we got points for lazing, I Would always be top of the score table. I always laze before I try and kill anything my self. Even 1 lone troop in the middle of nowwhere. Better to have a jet/helo kill it than give away my poss.

I really don't care because points don't matter at all in PR. As long as I can lase and destroy tanks with a single click I am set.

And no if the tank is moving and you shoot it at him it will lag behind. You have to lead the target or wait for it to stop. If he stops and you lase the him and it settles, then yes it will stick.

And why would you not bother lasing? It's like the quickest way to rid of enemy armor. You can fire through fog to kill it. It should be the spotter's job to check for AA and lase that first.

I Can confirm that you can "LazE" moving targets. I Am the only player I know that has lazed a flying Jet. :) It's true. In testing I managed to laze a low flying A-10. It was funny watching the little green box rotate on the engine

You should be happy with the ticket loss you're helping impose on the other team and not worried about personal points.
