Taliban SA-7 (Archer)
Can you please verify the settings of the SA-7 ?
I used it at Operation Archer, Taliban side, and it's impossible to hit anything with it.
If you find it ok, can you please confirm the settings of the SA-7 are exactly what you want to do ?
In that case I think this kit is now useless :\
Thanks for your attention.

Point at the chopper, when it locks on FIRE! the sooner you fire the better. I usaully wait for it to start landing so its not moving much.

did they increase the damage in .86? In .85 all the missiles did was let them know they should return to base for repairs.

Yeah, sometimes when I shoot the SA-7 even if I am locked on and at about 200-300m from the chopper, the missile just shoots straight up like an L lol

That's exactly what happened to me 6 times in a row regardless of the distance

I think it's more of a general issue with AA missiles, I had that happen to me as MEC on Kashan using the IGLA, the missiles would just constantly fail to target the jets by flying straight and or flying away just as they are near the jet. :S

On muttrah, Cobra was hovering in the air so i took SA7 then raised sights and shott immidietly, cobra didnt dropped flares.
Rocket was flying exactly where helicopter was was but failed to explode passed it and flew up to stratosphere.

I once locked onto a helicopter with it and it was about 300 meters away. I stayed locked on to it for about 1-2 seconds just to see if it would drop any flares. It didn't so I fired away. The missile didn't even go straight at it. It went sideways and flew up. Didn't even come close to it. And the helicopter didn't even use flares.

IGLA on baracuda or jabal is often not working, saw a huey been hit 2 times by both missiles but it didnt even got a scratch from it.

probably just hit a flare next to it so the explosion was infront of the helicopter.-=TB=-Tobakfromcuba wrote:IGLA on baracuda or jabal is often not working, saw a huey been hit 2 times by both missiles but it didnt even got a scratch from it.

No there is something seriously wrong with the AA verses Huey collision mesh in this version, I should get some videos of it. Multiple direct hits to the Huey while it is traveling horizontally to the firer hardly ever register to actually be hits.

Hueys are not almosr incincible verses AAMs, while flying trans and attack hueys I have taken multiple airbursts and direct AA hits in them and been able to return to the carrier from across the map with either a damaged bird or one slowly losing health.

Its a little ridiculous since helicopters in real life are very fragile especially when exposed to air bursts not even direct hits.
