You cant hit anything now with rpg... because of higher deviation.
I was standing in one place for 5 secs on fallujah west and rocket still flew in weird direction, it often happens that rocket flies too high/low.
Also damage is very small you can directly hit US soldier and he will be still alive
Rpgs in 85 were ok, just leave 85 damage and 86 deviation if you MUST.
RPG is too weak... srsly..

The deviation is fine, if anything it needs to be more innacurate.
The insurgents and Taliban will rarely if ever get their hands on modern warheads for the RPG. However, the Russians for example use much more advanced warheads now which are more accurate and serve a variety of roles, in the future it would be nice to see different warheads (AT/HE etc.) availale for the Russian HAT.

its not a bug, its intentional. .85 damage and .86 devation would actually be awesome.

Feedback thread would be much more appropriate. I haven't had much exposure to the new RPG-7, but from what I have had it's pretty good. I just wish the explosion radius and damage done to infantry was upped to much more lethal levels, since now it's got more realistic deviation, but not enough damage.
And you can't have deviation + no damage, just as much as you can't have no deviation + proper damage. They go hand in hand.

1) This is not a bug
2) There are already threads about this
1+2=> 3) Lock.
Please continue this discussion in the appropriate .86 feedback thread.

Re: RPG is too weak... srsly..
In times past the RPG-7 was getting a bit out of hand. The major issue was that the RPG-7 was being abused as players were constantly using their binoculars as a method of aiming. Then they only needed to switch to their RPG-7 and fire it at a target without moving the mouse and it happened to work out very well. Especially in Korengal Valley when Taliban forces were firing "Binoced-RPG's" at untouched vehicles inside of Camp Murphy causing for more ticket loss at ranges more than 250m-300m away.
If you think about it with a little common sense, you'd figure that firing a single-shot weapon without any form of optical zoom at ranges of 250m-300m away would be a fairly difficult thing to accomplish. Most players can't hit targets that far away with ironsight assault rifles simply as in most case scenarios can't even see the target to begin with.
Although I had suggested to give it deviation, but I never suggested to increase the "settle time" or decrease the damage done any less than what was decided back in the v0.85 build.
What should have been done was to keep deviation as it is in v0.86, keep the "settle time" for v0.85, keep the damage in v0.85, but decrease the explosion radius so that it doesn't cause as much harm to infantrymen due to it being a "shaped charge" and not an anti-personnel warhead. So potentially too many changes or not enough proper changes were made and overshot what should have been the "desired results" over what is claimed to be as "intended results".

Take the Blue Pill or take the Red Pill?
