dont say go to support, i put it hear because more people check general discussion
now i have a HP Pavilion a1240n with 1 gig already installed, i just got 2 sticks of memory(2 gig each) and once i have one of them in in any memory slot, turn the computer on and nothing goes to the monitor, when i take it out, it works fine
i read it its pc2-5300 and its compatible with my computer, anone know how to get this to work
computer specs
intel pentium 4 processor
1.0 GB memory(512 each)
200GB hard drive
nvidia 6200 video card

Sometimes these machines cannot mix and match RAM speeds or sizes. I would simply remove the old RAM and try one stick of the new RAM in each slot, and then if that works then two new sticks and leave out the old altogether. At least that way you would have 2 Gig instead of one.
