M16 for marksman in US army

I've been looking on some things lately and I have been checking out US marksmans. What i've been noticing is that US army does not often use the m14 as USMC does.

So why not give a modified M16 with a scope with 1 zoom on like 5-6x to the US army?

Also, atm the US marksman is just useless. The main task for a DM is to put down quick, accurate ranged fire on the enemy. In RL the DM is a part of the infantry squad just like any other grenadier or LMG. But its more used for a sniper rifle then an infantry rifle. So! My other suggestion is to lower the deviation and give it the same zoom as before so it cant be used as a sniper rifle but a infantry rifle. Cause tbh, people really need to incourage others to be taking the marksman kit cause right now if I'd take the DM kit I can aswell go sniper.

urrrm so what is it ur suggesting? first you say in RL its used in a squad but then you say we should make it basicly a normal m16. but then in the beginning of your post your saying to increase the zoom/decrease deviation but then you say give it the same zoom as a normal m16......................

Sorry, different weapons for the US army Marksman kits have been suggested multiple times before.
