Ok i had this problem aswell, when you click on it to install it takes forever then opens what looks like a dos prompt for half a second then goes away. I had downloaded it from the torrent download, so i downloaded it from here instead:

BF-Mirror.de Filesharing community - Battlefield 2, Battlefield 1943, Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 3 BF-Mirror.de

since it was downloading faster then the other sites given and it worked fine.

Also if your running Vista I turned off User Account Controls to prevent it from taking forever to open.

hope that helps

Just point the installer to the BF2 folder on the drive you use to play.
The installer will do the rest.

Good luck

No thats not the problem I have installed the PR 0.86 core fine, but when I try and install the levels, It wont even start the installation. It just says "This setup requires Project Reality v0.86 core to be installed. Do you want to go to the downloads page now?"

First time I downloaded this from filefront, and got this error when trying to install the levels. Installed the core no problem. After serveral attempts to install and all being a failure. I uninstalled all my BF2 mods and BF2 completely did a fresh install of BF2 and another download of the PR core and levels from BF-Mirrors.de and got the exact same problem.

Please someone help me.

Idk maybe Im not installing the core in the right path.

Can someone tell me what the install path is suppose to look like?

Im doing like I did with all my other BF2 mods such as AIX and Sandbox.

C:/program files/ea games/battlefield2/mods - thats where Im installing the core.

C:/program files/ea games/battlefield2/mods/pr/levels - thats where Im trying to install the levels.

ok I got it working, I found out I just needed to create a new folder in c drive and install the core there.

erm, if you have BF2 and the 1.41 patch installed, and then install the PR core it should automatically point itself to your BF2 mods folder...

If not then you ahve messed something up with your BF2 install

Basically in your BF2 directory it should have a mods folder in there you should have another BF2 folder and a PR folder,

Is this correct in your cases?

Wrong! Do not create a new folder.
Just point the installer to the BF2 folder(where BF2.exe is) on the drive you use to play the game, the installer will do the rest.

C:/program files/ea games/battlefield2 - that's where to install the core.

C:/program files/ea games/battlefield2 - that's where to install the levels.

The installers will install into or create the folder (mod) and any sub folders (PR) needed
