Re: Reality Teamwork Mumble Server
Yep - its a problem everyday after about 11pm GMT, when many of the different small groups of clan members start to leave. Im trying to encourage more US players to join our community, so that they can "take over" from the EU players late at night, but very soon, the US players will be getting their own RT server, and then I suspect the Reality Teamwork EU server will "die" every late evening.Dr2B Rudd wrote: Good rounds, but towards the end of the night random pubbers join who didn't use mumble.
We really want some of the smaller US clans, who maybe dont have their own server, to make RT their "home", so that the new RT US server will be a success when its launched!

Re: Reality Teamwork Mumble Server
After a good start, we had a few shockingly bad rounds late this evening on RT, despite almost the whole server being on mumble.
Just to explain, the servers admin scripts seemed to be bugged, and they all stopped working. For obvious reasons, we didn't want to say this publicly on the server.
This meant that no-one could be kicked, and because of this we didn't even want to warn people because we couldn't follow through on it ( another problem was that we couldn't swap people, and the auto-balance was off)
Also we have decided to now make the Reality Teamwork Mumble Server, passworded all weekend - every weekend!

The second server, based in the US, is now ready to be launched as well. We just need some more US members!

Re: Reality Teamwork Mumble Server
Yeh, its pretty awesome. Yesterday, first me and my m8s helped to seed the server and I was helping space with imroving (his really poor
) firebase skillz. Then in the later evening when we played Jabal it was one my best rounds on US on that map. I was flying Attack-Huey with Znakes after transporting some Troops.
First I got shot by AA and Znakes rakt up 35 kills in the meantime. I was giving lazers and shot some guys ( 13 I think. then my Huey spawned and we totaly raped the MEC at south-bridge giving me a score of 29:3 at the end.
Only thing that annyoed me a little was the constant server-crashing while I was playin. It wasnt the CTD-Script shit but a message "Problem with your connection" and the whole mumble was screaming cuz the server went down
. Cuz of that we had to play Muttrah twice and the second time it crashed again ...
Overall a very good server with some great teamwork on it. Exspeacially when we were on Jabal and the NATO-guys showed up. Thanks to DonDOOM and his squad for his accurate Co-ords and Lasers, aswell as [R-CON]Wilkinson.

PS: Damnit, I miss PRT ... anybody knows when it will be back up? Playing with the NATOs made me proud yesterday, even if they were NATO I and not NATO II like me.

Re: Reality Teamwork Mumble Server
Epic server.
Every time I've joined, I've had a bunch of fun, especially with 3/4 of the server on Mumble. PR may be a walk simulator at times, but the guys on the server make that walk awesome. Couldn't organize knife fights and crewman rushes on any other server.
And a bonus: from Chicago, I get a decent 120 ping.

Re: *RR* Reality Teamwork Mumble (Germany)
Hello every body,
Today *RR* admins have kicked all squad #Eagle arbitrary, without warning, well without any reasons.
Now i have read *RR* forum server, and i understand better.
But i want to condemn the bad behaviour of *RR* admins.
They have kicked #Eagle squad who play since 2,5 years on P.R. with better results on 9 maps on 10 played.
I would just add P.R. communauty can progress if the old teams share their knowledges and their experiences of this difficult game with the news P.R. gamers. I don't think a kick for welcomes is a good solution. Remember that !
Usually, i don't come to write something on this forum because my english is very bad. But this time, i wanted to speak about that. Because this behaviour don't serve this excellent game and of course the excellent job of the [R-Dev].
Well, the Eagles will go to give their experience on others servers.
Regards,
Gary ( Leader of #Eagle team ).

I was playing at that time, and you were kicked for not being on mumble, which is pretty much a requirement to play on the server. Nothing personal.

*RR* Donate the server to the Reality Teamwork Community - they are not responsible for the admining of it. Unfortunately PR have forced us to put *RR* in the server name to "prevent confusion"Gary wrote:Hello every body,

The RT server is for users of PR Mumble VOIP, and I was informed by an ingame admin that you guys were not using it. When the server is full, we kick players who are not using mumble, to make room for Mumble users ( There are several ingame messages warning you of this, and I also spam several messages via CC prior to kicking people )
Our download and install guide for Mumble can be found here:
www.realityteamwork.com/mumble
If you guys download and install Mumble, then you are very welcome on the server - in fact we hope to attract clan members, as they tend be of a higher quality, so we hope that you guys give RT another chance, and that you get to experience what Mumble is all about on the RT server
Sorry for any confusion.

I will sugest, that you take those kind of conversations/complains at the RT forum, insted of here. Just visit: www.realityteamwork.com
And the *RR* admins normaly use to kick out non mumblers if needed, but they where not online last night so it was probably one of the RT admins.. But as Space told you, get mumble its just awsome.. It make the game a way more interesting to play and mutch more funny
I have played with you Eagles guys before and I know your a buntch of great guys, so your all welcome back for more teamplay but get mumble

Space, RR hold the server licence so you need their name in the servername. As you well know, if you want to sort this out, you need a server licence of your own. Until then the RR name stays. It IS about preventing confusion, for US. RR hold the server licence, not Reality Teamwork, and having their name in the servername makes that very clear. Its the same rules for everyone.space wrote:*RR* Donate the server to the Reality Teamwork Community - they are not responsible for the admining of it. There is no rule about server names other than having the version number in it, so its not the same rules for everyone - it is in fact its extra rules for RT.[R-DEV]Drav wrote:Space, RR hold the server licence so you need their name in the servername. Look at the server list atm - several servers called "coffee shop" etc, and there always has been - they don't experience any problems, because there is no such rule in the license.
Anyway I applied for a server license for RT, and was told I cant have one.

Pack it in Space, and quit bending the truth. We've spoken about this, and tried to help you, so no need to big yourself up and make out you're a victim here.space wrote:There is no rule about server names other than having the version number in it, so its not the same rules for everyone - it is in fact its extra rules for RT.

For info:
The server license states that servers should include the version number, to avoid confusion.
We requested you use *RR* in the server name because YOU do not possess a license. In fact, you have effectively obtained server files from *RR*. Leaking the server files is a breach of the license, for which we could have revoked *RR*'s license - effectively putting an end to them, and you.Server Name
Upon Signing this agreement, you agree with the following:
- I will include in the name of my PR server the version number. The Current version number is: v0.809. If I need to update my server to a newer version I will also update the version number to reflect what is running on my server. I understand that failing to put a version number in my server name will result in my server license being removed and my server becoming disabled.
Instead, I opted to assist you get your server up and running by asking you to comply with the license agreement.
You've applied for a license - and there was a problem because the IP of the server is the same as an existing server. A simple problem with the back-end which I'm hoping we can sort. I offered you some advice on how to get it resolved - such as asking *RR* if they have another IP they can allocate you on their box, and in the meantime setting you up as a moderator on their license.
We've done nothing but try to help you.
If you persist in this negative attitude, taking a swipe at the team, we will take action.
We remind you that, as per the license agreement, we reserve the right to refuse or revoke a license, at any time, for any reason.
My suggestion to you is that you take the advice you've been given, cut the ****, and sort yourself out. You server is popular - let's keep it that way.

I think you misunderstand how RT works. We are a community based on an idea.[R-DEV]epoch wrote: We requested you use *RR* in the server name because YOU do not possess a license. The server is still owned by *RR* - they control the server files, and I have never touched or seen the files, nor do I want to. Their clan likes the idea behind RT, so they allow the server to be called RT and allow me and others to admin it to RT's rules.
As per the rule you posted above, they can call it Reality Teamwork if they like, without adding their clan tags, and that will not be breaching any rules.

I've never seen a more proper non-biased admined server in my PR days. Aren't we all trying to accomplish the same thing here? Make this MOD more popular?
Lets all just have some cheese cake and coffee and talk about that glorious spring day last year when we saw the unicorn prancing in the meadow of love.
Ah! Those were the days.
Anyways, when is this server going to be passworded on the weekdays? Is there anything in the works to make that happen yet or is it still too early?

Its still way to early for weekdays (apart from maybe 2hrs a day), and even weekends are hard to fill at the moment, but everyday more people try the server and mumble for the first time - pretty much all these people love it, and keep coming back.Mr.Hyde wrote: Anyways, when is this server going to be passworded on the weekdays? Hopefully over time we will have enough support to fill the server all week, but at the moment, the next stage is to launch the US based server, which will be happening very soon.

Make's sense. No Files were exchanged, But who cares, *RR* is 4 characters. Not a big deal.
