Moveable mounted Machinegun/Tow

Yeah!
That was a great mod (for Half-Life 1) you could carry your MG 42 and even shoot from the hip but... you'd probably miss everything.
But when you found a nice little wall, you just had to press that "deploy" button, and you deployed the machinegun on it's bipod. Now stationary you could fire just like normal, but you could not move until you undeployed your weapon.

Oh, and of course you could place it on the ground too...

a mod for Cod had the same sort of system and worked fine....sure you came round a corner and got mowed down...rather annoying but you just go round the back when their blazing away so they cant hear you and you give them a butt in the back of the head the end....and you just capturd a mg40....

Hells yeah. Getting an MG34/M1919 .30 set up to cover an entire street was a great deal of fun. Especially when the idiots on the opposing team are neither very good snipers or able to use smoke correctly. Something like that would be very cool indeed.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

the battlegroup2 mod has deployable weapons bf2

but i dont think having a redeployable 50cal be a good idea it would be a too easy to explot, even if somthing like u gave the a bypod to the engineer which he could throw down then the 50 cal laid on that,

but being able to deploy Light machine guns would be nice, it would give a purpose to low walls, rather then just proning every time with the LMG.

also heavier machine guns would be nice like the GPMG/M240 or PKM, there would be problems putting them in withount making them pick up kits,

If this is done just make sure that pick up times are not instant like how a player picks up a kit becuase of a situation like a grenade comes down or a missile is fired at the gun nest which would destroy the gun and operator but because they may pick up the gun quickly the operator picks it up and runs as if it was nothing. Maybe something like how eng. class can disable mines could be worked out for a deployed object to be packed up?

Also their would have to be some way to limit this kit/tool from being spamed. Are spawning kits posible for this mod to implement? I saw them all the time in BFV Poe but BF2's tools are another ballgame from what i understand.

also maybe the engineer could disable the weopons? say hes in a nest all his mates are dead he got hundred guys runnin at him he disables all of the bipoddy weps so they cant use them?? then they respawn like 2 mins later back where they were at main base or sumtin/vehicle
