See, in those videos, the Apache isn't hovering still, but from what I can gather is slowly circling. He's not that high either. Try that on Karbala and you will get an AA up the jacksie before you can say 'unrealistic'.

They're averaging 90. I'm not sure if that is MPH or Knots.

You can see the gun stabilization at work. Every once in a while you'll see "EL LIMIT" or "AZ LIMIT" which means it can't rotate the gun any further to compensate for the rotation of the craft.

Regarding tactics, they're not engaging a heavily saturated area of insurgents armed with .50s and SA-7s. It looks like they got most of them off guard. Given that some of the engagement ranges were 500m and insurgents were just standing around perhaps these helicopters aren't as loud as they are in game.

Those videos seem to stack the saying the animals can sense these things yes :)

Stutika: If you look at how long it takes for the rounds to hit, or even missiles wich fly very fast, I say they are high. Cant say anything about the speed tho because it is so zoomed in.

Yes you can. Look at the video again and look for these items.

Ehm,do people actually find it hard to accurately shoot on targets with guncam?.Even if u find it hard, thats because either target is moving or you or both,+reasons related to sucking, which in turn has nothing to do with range.

+We have a 900 meters max visibility distance and only 2 maps with gunships with that 900 m. (kashan 32,Quinling,muttrah has only 600m visibility iirc),those Apaches IRL are engaging up to KMs away,if u actually watch the videos carefully, gunner shoots, bullets land after a few secs(sometimes up to 3),if we consider they are traveling at speed of sound,3x1.4=4.2 kms, which i assume ranging might become a problem.

+Dont wanna sound arrogant but i think people shouldnt suggest everything they see on a mil. video

wouldn't a bullet traveling at the speed of sound (314 meters a second) only travel one kilometer in 3 seconds?

Speaking of apache bullets, whats the muzzle velocity of a apache 30mm?

Yeah dude , but look at PR guns you cant hit anything above 500metres range with AK-47 but in that range in Realworld ak is deadly so maybe 500metres in here are about 2km realworld

Yepp.
Speed of sound is ~300m/s
and 3 sconds with that speed are ~1km.

I think this is nonsense. Most of the time the Apache will be firing from the sky anyways. Bullet speed, plus downward force of gravity would only add to the bullet speed if anything so the bullet drop wouldn't even be noticed cause with the machine, your only going for splash damage most of the time.

What I think should be implemented is some kind of mouse sensitivity reduction when zoomed in. just like the sniper when its zoomed in. because no matter how still your pilot is holding (which most of the time isnt very still) the crosshairs will shake everywhere, and from very high altitudes will make manual laser guided missiles impossible to direct accurately. If you ever noticed laser guided missiles in PR tend to stray a lot from the intended target because the mouse is just WAY to sensitive especially when zoomed in.

Maybe an on-the-fly sensitivity setting on some brands of mouse might help but not everyone has them.

The bouncing comes from the camera not the mouse. Unfortunately they never patched the regulate pitch functions to actually work along with dummy projectiles and magazines.
