Taliban civilian spotter

Post by nick20404 »

Why not add a civilian spotter kit to the Taliban faction, in Afghanistan there are Taliban spotters that are unarmed hiding among civis and usaully have radios to communicate with the fighters so why not add a civilian spotter class to the Taliban faction that can not be shot like the Iraqi civilians.

Insurgents and Taliban are two different factions.

Well the Taliban civi would serve a different purpose like calling in mortars and spotting for mortars (Depending on how the 80mm mortar system will work). Squad leaders shouldn't be in the front lines calling in mortar strikes and spotting. I agree they shouldn't have a long spawn time and the medic kit is not needed as well.

*bump*

I think that the Taliban need a Civilian class. Civilians are a massive element of the conflict and I think there is alot of scope for a Civilian class to be implemented. Don't give them the medical stuff like the insurgent Civilian but maybe like Nick says and make them as a spotter class.

If nothing else it would mean that Bluefor to have a reason to check their fire on Taliban maps because in many ways the current shoot everything that moves is not really a very good depiction of situation.

I don't think it would be good in the current Taliban maps.

It isn't unrealistic for them to be gone, when the civilians aren't around you know something is up right? maybe when Sangin is done there will be a good case for it, but maps like Archer and Korengal would have small populations judging by the number of buildings.
