Problem with installing new patch

I have downloaded the new 0.86 patch, but when I choose the path for the install,

(G:/EA/BF2/Mods/PR)

it says, "Must have v0.85 installed" so I load up PR and check which version I have and it says Version 0.856. So are they the same versions and my patch is screwed up, or do I need to find 0.85 core/levels and install them?

hmmm, you have the right version, and the installer only needs to point at the BF2 folder, not the PR one iirc...

So when you start the installer does it run and have a directory already written in and you change it?

When i start it it just says "G:\Program Files", so i just change it to the specific BF2 folder

Ok, sounds like you have had BF2 installed in a different location before?

Is this as tricky as people are making this out to be? all i know is to choose the folder in which the bf2 launcher is in and boom... but i have default directories. so is it all that complicated?????? i just don't know.
