I had same type of broblem in 0.85 and 0.86 with all limited kits. Sometimes when you die and get revived and your kit has been disappeared, you cannot request same limited kit anymore. When you try reguest the kit game only says, You cannot reguest the kit cause squad limitations... Really annouyning

i ran into the same problem today
two maps in a row, we had a full squad that could request neither.
both times however we couldnt get them RIGHT off the bat. noone left our squad or anything, its just that nobody could spawn with them or get them off a crate. we won anyways for some crazy reason, maybe they had it too, its kind of a large annoyance, and some might consider it game breaking. i hope they fix it soon as its very frustrating not having a medic :(

i changed my mind, this can be extremely game breaking.
on jabal yesterday, we had three infantry squads. none of them had medics, this was understandably quite annoying.
also, we made a new squad with all the same people, everyone left the squad and the squad leader made a new one (different number) and we still couldnt get medic kits.

Yes, this is happening a lot. It's very frustrating to try and play with no medic for an extended period. We will try making a new squad and if that doesn't work we will try a new server. This bug is a pretty big deal - it's really the only noticable bug for me in .86. It's a big deal because there are usually a group of 6 to 8 of us playing together - and after you've all logged on a server - get switched to the same team - setup squads etc. it's just a plain hassle if after all that your faced with a 90+ min. round with no medic. We've reached the point where we just log off and find another server. And this is eating into our playing time!!!!

And to be sure, this is from the start of the round where no one can select either AR or Medic. Button just says 'select a different kit'

Yes to confirm I often play medic, and as shavid points out, people leaving medic selected in spawn menus...but whatever it is, it is bloody annoying!

Best way to get around it at the start of the game, is to tell people not to select medic as a default kit when they spawn in or if you need to re-spawn main or if your spawning at a firebase where you know their is crates readily available, and just have them spawn as rifleman and select the medic kit. Then you know that the medic will be readily available if you encounter problems to the kit being lost through whatever it may be.
This isn't always an option, but it has helped my self on several occasions.

Yes I hear you, that can sometimes work, but as often as not you'll get a 'not available to your forces' or other message when trying to select at a crate.

I find it surprising that bugs as large and obvious as these escaped the testers.

You should keep this kind of remarks to yourself. If you think this bug is "obvious" you clearly don't know wth is going on.

dB, would whatever fix that would be done to this kit system probably be server side or client side?

Server side, we are already testing some updates.
