PunkBuster Kicking Spree

Hello again, sorry for the trouble.

Recently I have been Attempting to play this brilliant mod but it is impossible for me to do so now as I get kicked every game I enter.

It firstly starts off with "PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed" then I restart PR and then every server I enter i get kicked with the message"PnkBstrB.exe Heartbeats Stopped".

I have read through all of the support forums but to no avail have I found a solution.

I have reset my firewall and added the exceptions seperately again, I have un-installed and then re-installed Punkbuster, I have updated it and it is "Supposedly" up to date, I have tried manually updating it and have even done numerous reboots to see whether the problem will resolve itself but yet I have no luck.

I am at the end of my rope with PunkBuster and I have also taken a ticket out with the main website to see whether the support team can give me a hand, I am still awaiting a reply.

But I thought I would post here just to see if any of you guys have beaten PunkBuster and it's kicking ways lol.

Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
Compaq Presario
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
2.20GHz, 960MB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE

Firstly Robert, ake sure you stay up to date with OS service packs, as xp is now at SP3.

Secondly, what have you used to uninstall and reinstall PB?

Yes, I have attempted once to update my Service pack from Service Pack 2 to service Pack 3 and my whole computer crashed and I had to start from scratch....

But I am using the normal setup application to install it.

So have you used a tool called pbsvc.exe?

this will uninstall and reinstall pb and the test it for you.

Make sure you also update it fully with pbsetup.exe after running this.

That would be the one pbsvc.exe. I have un-installed again and updated it and I will join now in a second to let you know whether it's fixed.
