Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
Give one or two combatant kits the grapple, rest probably already have most slots taken. I support this since the BLUFOR already gets an unlimited kit with a grapple hook, while Insurgents have to use civilians which cant fight and who no one will play as to get ropes.

Yeah more grapples, insurgents dont have incendiary nades so u can add grappling hook to key 9.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
I agree because of balance and gameplay reasons. The methaphor doesn't really hold in my opinion because if the insurgents are able to get on every house / kick down every door, the BLUFOR should certainly also be able to do that.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
I believe this should be implemented. While maybe not in every kit but maybe in 2-4 request able kits and all pick up kits. IRL insurgents would probably have no problem getting onto a balcony or a roof of some building.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
i totally agree with this. we dont need hooks on every insurgent layout, but having it on at least one armed layout (maybe two) would help a lot.

watch at 35 seconds and on. fiction movie, not RL, Full metal jacket.
Vietnam insurgent with AK (or SKS?) wounds US Marine, medic goes to help, and gets shot too.
YouTube - Full metal jacket-sniper
i imagine more of this type of engagement if -more grapples = better and more fun gameplay

if only one kit tshould get the grapple i say the Cell leader should get it to promote cell unit cohesion and teamplay.Threedroogs wrote:i totally agree with this. we dont need hooks on every insurgent layout, but having it on at least one armed layout (maybe two) would help a lot.

Good point, they all have room for a grapple. I support adding them for every insurgent kit.WilsonPL wrote:Yeah more grapples, insurgents dont have incendiary nades so u can add grappling hook to key 9.
Someone mentioned korengal, I would leave the Taliban with their current layout. They're usually played as more of a semi-conventional military, so i think 1 armed kit with a grapple is enough.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
It's a good idea but I disagree with EVERY kit having a grapple. Insurgent teamwork still isn't quite what it should be yet but it is getting there. Giving EVERY kit a grapple hook would be a disaster. More INS players would split form there squad and use a PKM or SVD on a roof and on there own. No tactics about it.
Give the grapple to the Officer and Sniper (I'd prefer it to just be the officer but I know a lot of snipers would like the ability to operate independently on roof tops). This would encourage the squad to try and stick together but maybe another kit would need it to just in case the officer dies. Maybe the SKS kit?
Just my opinion.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
Because (i think) it would be so easy to code giving Insugent forces more grapple hooks, is it possibel for the Devs to implement this anytime soon -as in before the next official update?
I ask this only because atm playing Insugency game mode can be very frustrating. And the sooner more grapple hooks are implemented for Insurgent forces, the sooner Insurgency game mode can be much improved, I believe.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
Insurgents really do need more grapples.
While the coalition has nice specialist kit with a grapple, the insurgents are stuck with a civi kit which rarely anyone uses.
It also gives insurgents a better fighting chance in close quarter combat.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
So many more ambushes would be successful if I had a grappling hook to get ontop of buildings above BLUFOR positions. It would be righteous but I dont know how many insurgents really have grappling hooks so I think that is why they limit them.

Re: Give Insurgents more grapple hooks
the grapple hook (on the most part) is a metaphor for being able to kick a door on any house and get to the roof.tele-loe- wrote:It would be righteous but I dont know how many insurgents really have grappling hooks so I think that is why they limit them.
