5th Kashan Map layer
Do you remember when Kashan would take 3 hours to play out? Do you miss it?
Well you can still play a 3 hour battle on Kashan, but only if you play the 16 player layer of the map. So I am suggesting a 5th layer that has 100% more tickets to the 64 layer version.
Right now we have
Skermish layer - Small map size
16 player layer - Full map size but with light transport only
32 Player layer - Full map size but with attack helos and tanks/IFV and so on.
64 Player layer - Full map size but with Jets and tank/IFV and so on.
You see. What happens when 2 good teams fight it out is the map is over very fast due to the tickets getting lost as vehicles are destroyed.
Now I know some players don't want to play for 3 hours. But I know some do. Also. This would give the team that is on the back foot some time and a chance to regroup and make a fight of the map if things have gone a bit tits up in the 1st hour.
By adding a 5th layer with more tickets would bring that.
What do you think?

afaik a server operator can modify the number of tickets on a map
though they might have to lock it
I personally wouldn't like it, as I like to have shorter rounds so that I can play at least 2 or 3 maps in a sitting.

Hell yes, I have always loved the epic feel of a long kashan match. Currently it's great but feels like just as it's getting good it ends. IMO this map is at it's best when either:
1) Majority of assets are down via attrition and you scrape together a rag tag band of assets to hold back the enemy. This means for a good 20 minutes or so, you're flanking slowly and fighting over hills and other strategic locations to cover the flags rather than the flags themselves.
2) Blitzkreig! Your team has got the assets working in unison with air cover supporting armour and mech inf in the rear. You crush everything in your path, utterly and with teamwork at it's peak in the mod.
And for these scenarios to occur and work well you need a lot of time. Time nullified by a low amount of tickets. A fantastic blitzkrieg style assault I made as mec inf before took 45 minutes merely to push past the bunkers, through the village and to secure the south outpost. Bear in mind that was with the frog tearing apart the enemy team.

i like the idea behind it. but i think its ambitous. and i also believe it would empty the server.

And that is why I am suggesting a new layer. The server operator would not have to lock the sever up. It also give the choice to play short or long games.
Or just say sod it and make it a new map in "Night Mode" lol

what's the ticket count on kashan_desert gpm_cnc 64?
I Could be wrong on this. But this update could be done with a server update and not a client update.

emphesis was never really on CnC. to this day i havnt played CnC properly. a great concept, but no emphesis. i'd love to hear of ideas to revive the idea. sorry for going off topic.

Odds, if it was just a simple ticket change then yes it would be server side.
Psyko, this mode aint been played enough to warrant it being pushed further, which is a big shame really.
If some of the more popular servers started playing it im sure it will now become a more played mode.
Ive played CnC a few times, and while the concept is great, sometimes the map choice is a little wrong.
Maps like Mestia, with a revised CnC mode dependent on map size would work great I think.

Good teams on both sides dont make it go short.
We just had a clan match yesterday against PR CATA on Kashan 64. The match lasted for around three hours and we held the two bunkers the entire match. In the end it wore down to tickets where we won at 21-0.

1200 tickets, yeeeey! 
Maybe just someone host a Kashan 24/7 server, easier way if you like Kashan that much. It's just often becomes a stalemate, noone to take the flags, everyone in armor whoring around and loosing tickets.

That much Kashan would make me so depressed. All that time waiting in main base for your favourite vehicle only to have to hop around the map as the last outpost gets neutralled just as you reach the next one.

Lets not start with the petty name calling 
Keep it on topic.
Basically, the way I see it is we need more 4k Desert combined Arms maps, Kashan is good, but a lot of people are sick of it as it is pretty hard to get a good team on both sides and have a good round.

If its open to the public and not passworded dont forget you cant adjust the tickets
