I don't know if this has already been discussed but, this is a mod about realism and I believe that if you are zoomed in with any type of weapon and you take damage whether it be bullet wound, shrapnel, or a friendly sprinting into you, you should drop out of zoom mode. I don't think anybody would be able to take a hit from any type of bullet(in bf2) and hold a 10 pound weapon up to your shoulder. It is not a matter of whether you have armor on or not because a 9mm bullet hitting a soft armor target(Kevlar Only) feels like you got hit by a 95 mph fastball. I am suggesting that when you get damaged and you are in zoom mode you should be dropped out of zoom mode and have to right click again to go back into zoom mode.

this suggestion dose sound intresting, but i dunno if it would be able to be coded into the game.

I love this concept. Either by not being able to aim, or by not being able to pull the trigger, or whatever would be the easiest way. Even for just a second, to disable someone from shooting accurately at the exact moment that they are being shot themselves would be great.

oh this would be awsome, i dont think this would be too hard to code (im not a coder) but a very interesting idea. i like it.

oh i think you should be still able to pull the trigger. but your iron sights just go off.

would be really fun if we could give the MArines that dragon skin armour, in tests it took 30+ 7.62mm rounds from about 30feet and 50 + 9mm rounds from 15 feet. Go check for your self, you will see the results, pretty amazing.

This would make gameplay really funny!!!!!!! o, and safe.

Great suggestion.
Why not make it like jumping. gun moves down when you're hit.

and when you get hit while not zooming, your screen shakes a little maybe? or you're forced to stop sprinting..

When some one is hit they should be knocked down in some cases but stoping sprinting or just an stamina reduction in general would be interesting.

Socom had it so for things like a 4x scope when firing on auto it would throw the player out of the sights when using a 3round burst or not controling your fire well on automatic. That would be interesting to see in prmm.

being hit should reduce stamina to zero, deviation on rounds could have an extra computation in relating in a curve to stamina. the lower the stamina the greater the deviation possibility. stamina at zero would mean shot enemies can't leap over walls to avoid finishing off rounds, or run away from you so fast that you can't catch the buggers.

Each successive post to this thread makes the idea worse and worse. All that needs to be done is for your zoomed view to revert back to standard view like it is with most FPS games already. There's no need to add a blur effect, no need not to pull the trigger, no need for the player to be mortally wounded, fall over, crouch, go prone, be critically wounded, no, none of that. I could've swore BF2 already had this feature, but I might be thinking of Halo, either way it's always been a feature that's annoyed me. You're lining up your shot and can't fire because your scope keeps going down, it's pretty annoying, you're carefully lining up your shot and someone's spraying and praying to hit you, rendering your abilities useless everytime one of those rounds catches you.

That is all I want is for the person you shoot to be kicked out of zoom mode when they are wounded so they can't sit there and shoot back at you(accurately) when you're pelting them with bullets. I know that I sure couldn't holt a 10 lb. rifle up to my shoulder and look through the sights while getting hit by enemy fire(armor or not). :evil:

Not only should getting shot remove you from the zoomed view, but your deviation should be drastically increased temporarily.

It would be great if this was in the mod. Sometimes it can be so frustrating when you hit the enemy and he kills you while you hit him first.

The Idea about being kicked from zoom is just great!
At least it would be much more interesting to use machineguns then, as if some LMG is targeting you, you wont be able to perfectly target him!
Being hit while sprinting does not neccessarrily stop someone...but it would be fun if it decreased your stamina!
