im new to the forums and new to PR, i heard about friends from BF2 how awesome it was, and since im a huge fan of realistic and tactical games, this really looked like the game/mod for me. but when i tried installing i had an error..*i have BF2, i assume i have patch 1.41, because i know that i installed it before, and i can play the game online perfectly, as i do much
I followed the PR installation guide on the forum here. first i downloaded the ''core'' installer from moddb, which directed me to filefront and there i downloaded it from. i succesfully installed it without any flaw or error at all, it asked me to restart my pc, but it didnt say that i had to do that in the guide, so i assumed i ddint had to, so i choosed not to restart. after this i downloaded the ''levels'' installer as the guide said so, i did it also from moddb and later from filefront, but when it was finished and it started installing, it gave me the error that a file was corrupt. i checked the forums and posts beneath the guide, and some other people had the problem aswell, and the answer that came out was that the file from filefront was corrupt. so i downloaded it from a german link, and now i have it on my pc on the download list of firefox. i tried installing it, it went fine until it gave me the error that it needed core 0.86 to run.. but as i mentioned earlier i allready have it installed :S
so the main problem is that when i try to install the levels installer, it gives me the error that i need core 0.68, while i allready installed it (as the installation guide mentioned).
once again, i have BF2 with patch 1.41, i know this for sure because i can play online and i do that very much i just played a match yesterday evening. i have Windows XP
